  1. I realized just now that my post could be misconstrued as supporting the store. I am only interested in free bacon.
  2. In the interest of sticking with your awesome analogy, perhaps the world needs a bigger vagina, and not a smaller dick. Or rather, this is the dick that will pave the way for more accommodating vaginas. (Meaning bigger racetracks).
  3. I bet it weighs in within 10 lbs of the ZX10.
  4. Everyone PM me if you want in on the "How long will this bike last in Hoblick's garage?" pool. ;-)
  5. What time does this place open? I'm going to need to stop by every morning before work and browse...
  6. what kind of speeds is the R1 capable of on such a small track? I'm trying to wrap my head around closing speeds if someone's out there on a 100 or a 50cc two-stroke... The XR can probably be geared to break the 50mph barrier, but not by much!
  7. what is the difference between this bike and the last Harley bagger where you couldn't get the suspension set up the way you wanted it?
  8. it's growing on me. And while I may not actually like the design, I appreciate what they're trying to do. Kawasaki is trying to do something to "revolutionize" motorcycles. I'm not in love with the aesthetics of their execution, but I thoroughly appreciate their effort.
  9. You're assuming anyone will actually ride them. If they're making 500, I would bet fewer than 100 actually see a race track. The rest will be moth-balled by collectors
  10. does the Suburban have daytime running lights? My Corolla has running lights, and that seems to vastly reduce headlight life on anything brighter than standard halogens. I live with it, but I also buy the bulbs 4 at a time and leave 2 in the glove box because of it. I want to punch whoever decided that the battery should be installed right behind the driver's side headlight though. I have to remove it to get to that bulb. the passenger side headlight has tons of room behind it, and can be swapped in a minute flat.
  11. Overall, I like it a lot, but how can they call it a "race only" model and then not have a belly pan?
  12. I know this is totally premature and probably won't happen, but I badly want Top Gear to put this up against some ridiculous Ferrari FXX or some other carbon fiber million dollar car, and just roll endless footage of it leaving the car in the dust under acceleration.
  13. that's a lot of lean angle. Yikes.
  14. That's the million dollar question. I would speculate that they're mirrors, but why would they put mirrors on a bike without headlights?
  15. surprised to see the R1 look so not awkward.
  16. I don't mind that it's Italian, I mind that it's PRICED Italian ;-)
  17. True. I really think the most enjoyable motorcycle is something with low weight and 60-80hp. 2-stoke 250 or a 400cc I-4 maybe? Wrap that in a good chassis, and then just give it decent suspension and brake components.
  18. Jb attempted Harry's lap timer. Not sure he had great results.
  19. Still posting this from an iPhone 4...
  20. Is this model weather proof? I mean is it made for motorcycle use? Also, how large is the speed display (when no route is planned)?
  21. JB might unload one of the motoD cheapo timers. They work, just not very high feature or high storage.
  22. Starlane is the one I've seen more often, but GPS lap timing can be hugely beneficial. I think it's cool no matter what, but sticking the unit on the bike of a faster rider is really where it starts to become eye-opening. knowing how fast you're going in a given turn and when you're braking or getting on the gas can show you quite a bit, but seeing that a faster rider is braking X feet later, and taking a given turn Y mph faster is what really puts it into perspective. I also like the "hypothetical best lap" feature where it will piece together your fastest split through every portion of the track and show you "if you did your best throughout an entire lap, this is what you're capable of running." Awesome technology.
  23. even if she can't, I would expect the network to sue her to recover anything they're fined. Same reason though. it wasn't an accident.
  24. I don't believe this is universally true. In a setting where they're taking live calls, or if they're out in public where a random idiot could yell something in the background, that is probably the case. But in a studio setting where only paid on-air personalities are meant to be on camera, I don't think they do the typical delay.
