so a little update - i was pretty sure i was getting a truck so i went to the dealer test drove an f150 and instead bought a ford fusion 2010 Ford Fusion SEL V6 3.0. Baller white. Sport ed. wheels. Microsoft Sync (I did not realize how sweet this feature is). Sony 12 speaker audio system. Remote start. Leather heated seats. Hipster cool LED adjustable glow throughout the cabin. 6spd auto-manual. 21k miles. I'm sure there's more i'm forgetting but i'm pretty stoked about it. I'll get pics up when it gets delivered this week. just did some logical thinking and i dont really need a big v8 truck for my every other weekend towing ventures. i'll get a small trailer from Harbor Freight and that'll be enough to handle my track bike and stuff.

i think this site gets posted every other season haha. still nice to have it resurface for the n00bz

i had the exact same problem. i have the programmer box needed. well before i make any promises i'll need to check my toolbox. i'll be back home tonight and can check for you then - only problem is i live in michigan now so there might be a delay until you receive the item after i ship it to you if you don't find another volunteer by then.

I want to say it's a 22 or 32mm socket. i use it so many damn times you would think i should know this by now... i dont see a problem with it. i've done it with my "spooled" stand and flipped them around to be able to lift by the swingarm even though it wasn't meant for it. i'd put jackstands under the pegs for added insurance.

no. i still need the truck until i actually commit to buying a new one. since i have no real leads anymore i still need the truck. yup. the cam phasers were long gone and had done work on the camshaft journals and cat converter. was ok for today, but in a year it would've been major major expense. i dont remember exactly what was wrong, but needless to say they didn't want to sell me a truck with a time bomb for an engine. we'll cross that bridge when we get there. might get some restitution from the thief to fix my stereo but i'm not holding my breath.

the cam journals and sensor on the f150 i was about to buy are no good so the salesman i've been dealing with (friend of a friend) wouldn't allow the sale to continue knowing what he knew about the engine. he's gonna keep looking for me, already looking at getting an 08 over for me to look at from a sister dealer.

well kids here's the sitch: many of you know i'm getting a new truck. I was actually 12 hours from signing papers on a truck when the inspection i negotiated into the deal revealed major issues with the cam journals and cam phaser sensor that would be expensive down the road. anyways, i have a 98 s10 reg cab 2wd approaching 140k. pretty nice condition given the mileage. dealer trade in would be 1500 at all the dealers i spoke to and obviously i could get better money out of a private sale. i never questioned that until now. my s10 got broken into last night. more of a nuisance than angry. they tore the head unit out along with stress cracking my dash panel (the whole front dash pulls off to work on the stereo). rather than actually take the stereo the left it and took my coin change instead. at first glance everything was there and looked to be an easy repair. however, inspecting it tonight there are wires pulled out of harness pin slots as well as multiple wires cut/stripped with no wire left to work with - your basic stereo theft... should i still proceed with a private sale without fixing the radio? pony up some bills to install a new radio? trade in as is...? is this something to even bother my insurance about or will this raise concern about the area i live in and raise my rates? meeting with the officer in an hour.

it's supposed to be even better since the repave. i'll see if i can scrounge some dollars up to make it to one of these days.

i wonder if the little stoner will look like a monkey like its dad or an attractive model like its mom. i didn't read the article but from reports i've seen the amount of radiation is less than that of an xray they get 3-10 times a year anyway. if mrs stoner is preggers though, i can see why she wouldn't want to go.

shouldn't be loose enough to rattle that much. i'd venture to say it's the mount that's rattling. the new GoPros include a rubber boot that you insert into the mount/clip that secures it better. if you don't have that, another trick is a small corner of a paper towel and putting it between the mount and the clip.
