I want another bike

So... Wifey has given her blessing on the addition of one more bike. So I need to find one on a shoestring budget of $3000.

The alternative is to sell my sportster and take the money and add it to the $3000 allotted, but I think my sporty has no value. I ride it a lot, so it's not one of those 07s with 900 miles on it, lol.

I want a fun one for the twisty roads, so some sort of sport touring one. Surely, somewhere someone knows of a deal?

Look for a Honda ST. they can be had for >$3k.

Typical Honda. Not exciting, just bulletproof sport touring platform.

First generation Suzuki Bandit 1200

You'll find them in good shape with reasonable mileage for $2800. Great engine, and it will handle worlds better than your cruiser. It's definitely not a sportbike, but it will feel like one in comparison.

You can get them up over 100hp with a slip-on and a tune, and they have monster torque.

Or if you want something more on the "sport" side, just find a decent SV650. That would have a totally different character than your HD.

If you like the sound of your air cooled v-twin maybe a Buell with the XB12 (1200cc engine). ie. Firebolt, Ulysses
