I'm in as of right now. Most likely bringing a friend as well. We probably wont ride in the same group but he's got a good head on his shoulders, I'm sure he will do fine in the group he goes into (most likely med to start.). I've already done the explaining to him about OR group ride etiquette and expectations.

I was just advised that I have prior commitments the Saturday of the ride. I won't wish for rain but if, by chance, the ride gets moved to Sunday I'm back in.

Is it a thing that the fast group doesn't let new riders ride with the group unless someone in the group has ridden with them in the past and can vouch for them? Kinda like a pussy OR click.
