SA is a fire rated helmet, usually required for road courses. Most autocross will just require something that doesn't look old (they've never checked when I raced), but I believe they will take M or SA rated if they do check. 88lx5oh Posted February 8, 2005 Author Report Share Posted February 8, 2005 i dont think it would be good for someone who would need to get it inspected. they are not approved for drag racing/ auto x. they are motorcycle helmets, wiht dot and snell approved. should be m95 ill check.
