OHIO ANTIQUE PLATES

I would check the DMV's web site, but I believe the car has to 25 years old. I don't know how much they cost, and I am pretty sure they have to be renewed every year. And I am not sure on the driving restrictions.

So I would say check the DMV's web site or give them a call.

I checked DMV before I originally posted this...

oddly, there was nothing about AP's on their site...

looks like I may have to buzz the bureaucracy...

When I had them a few years ago,

$12

Never need to renew

25 years old

There are driving restrictions though such as, only on holidays and weekends, to and from shows and parades, to and from being repaired/maintained, and some others I can't remember.

im sure you could drive to cruises...

are you talking about model year plates? i.e. 1970 ohio plates on a 1970 car etc?

i think to get those you have to get the historical plate first, and then can register those and put them on.

I've got historical plate on my GTO.. 12 bucks.. Must renew every 50 years, At least 25 years old, and the restrictions are similar to what is posted above, shows, parades, holidays, ect... I did purchase a set of 1967 Ohio tags of e-bay. You can display these tags on your car, but they have to be registered with the DMV and you MUST keep you historical tags in the car at all times.. I keep mine in the trunk. Good luck!!
