villision1647545496
How many of you have taken your STOCK zo6 to the track? What did you run? I am having a debate about what they actually run without a prodriver. I have seen few in the 12's, mostly at mid to high 13's. What can I say, Marion people can not drive. Thanks in advance Ty
Guest stevil
You taking it to MCIR or a real track? That will make the difference on what it will run.
Jelloman4571647545499
i thought that Mr. stock ran a high 12 at MCIR.

Dr. Pomade
I haven't had mine to a track and by time I make it to the track it won't be stock.
Sam1647545489
There are alot of stock ZO6 in th elow 12's. With drag radials a guy went 1190's stock. He was a hell of a good driver. Also MIRC is not a good place to try it. Norwalk would be ideal. 13's and that driver is a idiot..

JaSSon
Tom Stock went a 12.6X @ 116 I think he's stock except for a cat back and a shifter. I believe he 60 footed around a 2.1x
Nitrousbird
GMHTP driver took a broken in, bone stock down to the paper airfilter and tire pressure, 04 Z06 to 11.9x @ 119-120 (can't remember exactly, I have the article somewhere). Good driving, good weather, and good track. But high 13's in one....that's inexcusable!!

Kohones
Wow Mr Stock this n' that? The real truth is = * Marion raceway sucks, NO TRACTION, period * Because I was disappointed in Marion & I wanted to see what I could do / I was at Norwalk with the COFBA group two weeks ago. * on street tires, no appreciable mods, I ran a 12.63 @ 114 mph, 60 ft was 2.066 * I also "kringed" that day as I watched a yellow Z06 with big "stickies" on the back, let out as last yellow lite was goin out & then nothing? Rear end went I guess???? As an ol man, I was pleased with both my times & my lil electron blue Vette. Shit now I need to start thinking about new tires? Guest Scoobysnack
Well I don't own one, but up at trails about a year ago I was talking to a guy with a Z06. He said he just had an intake and it looked like he was on street tires. He went on to run a 13.3x. I don't remember the trap speed, but I do remember him losing the rear end alittle past the 60' mark.

villision1647545496
Thanks guys, I am shocked they trap that high, 117+ is no joke. Ty
Guest sixpackstang
I was just at a Norwalk track rental and saw an '05 vette run 12.44, non z06. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Got-Boost?
Typical newbies run mid-high 12's on crap tracks with the 02+ Z's. The 01's usually run a little slower but not all, many 01 freaks out there. On a excellent track, I have seen bone stock Z06's 02+ run 11's @ 118mph! With a better than average driver, those cars fly! It's all track prep and driver! The new Z06's should run mid 11's @ 124mph+ when they start hitting the streets. Wease
I personally have seen a Z06 with just 4.10's and sticky tires run 11.8's at Norwalk... graemlins/nod.gif
Dr. Pomade
There have been Z06s with bolt-on mods (i.e., no supercharger, turbo, or N20), gears, and slicks run in the high 10s.
