when it was brand new on the lot.

i was jsut wondering what my explorer retailed for brand new in 2002. and did some searching. found it my explorer came with every option available plus some. it retailed for $38,110

here are some of the options:

$38,110 sticker price of the Explorer Limited would attest. Added standard equipment over the XLT trim level includes larger tires, foglights, heated exterior mirrors, leather upholstery, heated power seats for driver and front passenger, driver seat memory, thicker carpet for the floor mats, a unique gauge cluster with compass and exterior temperature display, dual-zone automatic climate control, adjustable pedals and a 290-watt sound system with an in-dash six-CD changer. Other options included the V8 engine, running boards, side curtain airbags, a Class III/IV trailer towing package, rear climate controls, a reverse sensing system and a third-row seat.

i thoght it was pretty crazy, how good of a deal i got on an almost 40k truck.

interesting to know.

I like this topic. I used to keep a chart of every car I bought and sold. Through my first 19 or 20 vehicles, I was still ahead, meaning I sold the cars for more than I paid. The past couple of vehicles have put me well into the negative, but they have been well worth it.
