turbomark
those sohc honda engines have a nasty habit of staying together even when horribly abused. DO any of you honestly think that the majority of honda "tuners" know anything about what they're doing? It's a miracle their cars run at all. DaddyBuiltRacing
You know that thing would be even more fast if it was converted to MPFI. The DPFI hates being modded I dont care if its spray or simple bolt ons. Take this from one that has owned well over 20 different hondas, ranging from dpfi 1.5 civics to h22 del sol. The owner of this car is a pretty cool dude. I was talking to him a few weeks back about his car, doesnt seem to know a whole lot about hondas, but he openly admitted that he is a v8 guy. Which is respectable. I love sleepers though
Guest Removed
well what we want too do is swap in a B18. i had mine flying on a hidden 60 shot dry, but i was running it to lean at times, and would knock exhaust valves out if i didnt watch my egt's.i think it would have be much faster with the fogger on it cause i could have jetted more fuel too it to keep it safer.i like the hondas myself.they will run forever if you just keep oil in them. yes they have there week points, but what car doesnt? but it does need a stronger clutch and some sticky tires. we'll see how long it lives. DaddyBuiltRacing
b18 LS swaps are easy as hell to do in a 88-91 civic/crx. All you need is to wire up MPFI, buy some mounts, shift linkage and 90-93 teggy axles and your good to go. My bone stock LS powered crx ran 15.20's with a 2.4 60ft time at 93mph
Guest Removed
my 2nd gen teg ran 15.5 on motor and went 14.00 @99.89 mph on a 60 shot dry with header, no cat, custom ehaust and cia built buy me., and yes the stock clutch was slipping at the track...with the fogger and a clutch, easy 13's. my 60' was 1.8 or so. leaving on a 2 step at 4800. DaddyBuiltRacing
Yeah im talking bone stock exhaust manifold and air box I see 2nd gen tegs running mid 15s all day long. 13s on a 60 shot might be a little extreme, maybe 14.1-14.3. Unless its gutted to hell and back and on some radials or slicks

He had the car doing 14.0 on a 60 shot with a stock clutch and he said with the fogger AND a new clutch it would do 13s...
