Seriously...there's some fucked up shit going on with anyone other than USPS

 

I had DHL bend a fucking steering column for a 1966 GTO last week

we're talking a 1" (at least...maybe 1.5") piece of solid metal (the column rod going through the entire piece)...and they bent the fucker surprisingly well

 

How much weight? 800 pounds? 1000 pounds to bend that piece of metal?

I can't even comprehend how it happened...

For UPS and DHL at least, if any dimension of the box is greater than 34in (not sure of the exact number, but it's right around that), it can become jammed in their roller belts. Then everything else jams up behind it. Then some box monkey comes along and drops your box 20 feet off the belt to clear the jam.

You can select special handling for oversize boxes, but they just throw it on the belt anyway.
