Buck531
I have an aluminum piece that cracked and needs to be molded back together. How would one go about doing so?

rl
What is it? It would need cleaned, welded and flattened on a mill or surfacer. can the thickness change? I would say at a minimum .010 would need to come off both sides, provided it doesnt move around to much while welding. Depending on how much a new one is that might be a cheaper route... Dave1647545494
I had tinman weld my upper intake when I dropped it and broke a corner off that looks a little more involved but as long as its flat and sqaure when its done I don't see why it couldn't be repaired
Clifford Automotive
A friend of mine can weld it for you if no one here can.
Buck531
It's an intercooler plate. It just houses a heat exchanger inside those plates. I think tomorrow I'm going to buy some either JB weld or something to that type and see if i can seal it. Then I was going to tap it in several places and bolt it all together. New, they run $300. If I can get it done for $50 I'd hit it. If not, then $5.00 it is .
