The thing had a manufacturer's plate on it and the left 2 exhaust pipes seemed a tad bouncy. I think it's an engineering test vehicle. If it had an M-plate on it then it's classified as a test vehicle. However you will also see lots of cars floating around Detriot area streets without M-plates before they are available to the public. Being just north of the GM Tech Center and the Hybrid Development Center you can see a lot in that area. Not to mention when engineers take vehicles home for the night.
