They are actually on sale for 749.99 plus you get a free riser and hi-lux optics scope. They also have rock river stripped lowers for 149.99. But they were sold out at the time but they are getting some in next week. If this is not in the right section, please move it for me mods. It is a forged lower, made by same company that makes bushmaster and etc. I just ordered my RRA stripped lower. I guess you can special order it. When it comes in i'll let you guys know. Also, their gas keys are properly staked, which is another rumor Our A-15 lower receivers are all forged 7075-T aluminum, anodized to mil-spec and Teflon coated. DPMS has also produced stainless steel lowers and cast lower receivers in the past. DPMS has not produced a cast lower receiver since 2004. A forged lower should begin with the letter “F”. Any receiver with the serial number ending in “K” left the factory as a stripped lower, or lower assembly. All A1, A2, and A3/A4 upper receivers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum, Lo-pro, Hi-rider, and extended rail receivers are extruded 6066-T6. All upper receivers are anodized per mil-spec and Teflon coated. cptn janks Posted January 26, 2009 Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 when do you use the forward assist? i can see using it if you pull the bolt open half an inch or so to see if there is a shell in there. the bolt may not close 100%, so you push it in with the FA... but if a cartridge isnt fitting in there or something, id think the last thing you want to do is force it?
