I remember reading about a guy who screwed over some of these scammers by shipping a bunch of junk that they would have to pay the customs charges on .... anybody remember this?

I read that too... you put an outrageous value estimate on the shipped goods overseas, and the person picking up the goods have to pay duties/taxes on it.

Here's the original forum on it - sounds like the guy did setup his own website, but quit paying the host so it's gone...and the few mirrors I check didn't work.

yes that is a scam, the check will clear, then 6 weeks later, the funds will dissapear from your account, the routing number is special, and it takes a while for those fake checks to bounce!
