What color should i go?

Well, On Driftindy a set of rx-8 wheels came up for sale and was a decent deal so i snatched up on them. The owner of the wheels said they were in good shape, less than 2 inches of curbage on all 4 combined. told me the middle of the wheels were power coated gun metal, they were and he also told me they were straight. i felt like i was getting a good deal so i went and picked them up. got them home and started looking at them and wow, these are crap! the powdercoating was done and it seemed like the person was in a rush, they came out wrinkly in some places and on the edge on every wheel where the powder coat stops the original owner painted it with a darker grey to mask the line and the clear coat is chipping away. sadly to my dismay, one of the wheels has a good bend in it.

 

Im taking the wheels to wheel medic to see if they can be repaired and to get repainted but i was wondering, what color should i go? I dont want to go black, if i wanted black id spray bomb them.

 

im thinking a satin silver like whats on the 35th AE 350Z wheels, Bronze, or a light gun metal.

 

what do you guys think? they are going on a white car.

I think the bronze is a good idea, but for some reason it doesn't look right on that car. A bit too busy/distracting.

I really hate the way gunmetal and silver colors look against a white car. I'd have to say black, bronze, or chrome, given what you seem to like I'd go bronze. I have come across so many good deals on silver wheels for my car, but I just can't take the chrome off even if they are extremely stock.

IMO, don't go too dark. Get the paint code of the Canadian MS3's from a dealer.

 

I'm going to have WM do mine next winter after I put the snow shoes on.

I think im going to end up doing a Satin Silver/black combo like whats on the 350z, i think it will look good and pop out just enough to really set them off.

there is a RX8 over by my work that has those wheels in a light bronze/Ti color and it looks great.

I like the black, naturally. But have you considered white? Kind of an "Anti-Murdered" look.

Get them in a polish finish, it's not done much and works well with white.
