This thread reminds of tubing and skiing behind my grandpas oldass boat on Buckeye for years, until last year when he sold it and bought some gay luxury pontoon boat. Now I got skis and a tube with no boat to pull them.

I'm in for fun shit, but I gotz no boat :(

Whatever happened to the single-seat jet-ski models where you stand up and the handles can move up/down? Did they just stop making those or something?

My first 2 skis ever were stand up kawasaki's, I hated them, they were fun to say in on spot and dick around but I lost interest in them very quickly. I think kawi still makes them.

Here's a few pics of my Formula. Shes been completely restored and refitted. I'm still having some sort of engine issue though. From what the experts say I'm not running on all 8 cylinders. I'm compression checking it this weekend then if all goes well diagnosing/having diagnosed from there. Best case would be new plugs/wires/cap etc. Worst case I have a line on another stroker I can throw in it.

Anyone interested in a thread in the project section showing the restoration?

Also, yes I know the bottom paint needs to go or be touched up. Most of it is wax and buffing compound. Luckily, you can't see it in the water. The trailer restoration (besides all the new LED's already on it) will be this fall/winter.

Looks like the bottom is coated in that special paint (forget what it's called) that they use on the bottom of sail boats and shit. I guess it's supposed to keep the mussels from sticking to the bottom.

I know what your talking about, but that shit doesnt even look finished.

Why did you not paint the rest of the hull?

At the time I had it painted, I knew I did not want to paint the bottom black like the rest of the boat. I beach the boat alot and knew the black would look horrible after one beaching. I didn't have them take it off because it is white underneath and I'm not sure how good that would look with a black boat. So I told them to leave it alone.

This is exactly what is on it. Its called anti-fouling paint. I just looks so bad because of all the wet sanding and buffing they did when it was painted. Its MUCH cleaner now that I have had it in the water.

Like I said above, its much better looking now. It still has a dull flat look to it, but it protects the bottom of the boat. When its in the water, 95% is underwater, so you cant see it anyway. I also have more that I can put on it. I just havent decided what I want to do with it yet. Id love to take it off, but I would not like the white belly. Plus, its a bitch to put on a coat of the bottom paint without being able to lift the boat from the trailer.
