Reason I bought my 5.3L. Changed the oil in it after it had been sitting all winter, went for a drive and started making this noise, gotta love unexpected car fk ups lol...

Yup, drained it with the dipstick reading full after taking it out of storage but only got 2.5q~ out of it. Gotta love it.

How much do 5.3 truck motors go for these days? Shortblock and Longblocks both I guess. My dad's 5.3 suburban still runs decently but has a full life of towing under it's belt, so I'm wondering what it would take should something let go.
