When i put the car together, it initially was black with the titanium lipped wheels. The downside to having something unique, is often times pictures leak out of it before its completed. There were some pictures of the car with the holden badge on the front and the griffen on the rear. Anymore the car has no badges at all and the grill is removed similar to an 04 cobra i guess is how i could compare it.

As far as the faggy riceboy wheels or whatever. Its my daily driver, I have a 2400 lb back halved rx7 with a single turbo 427 going into it that I saved the 325 50 15s for. As far as the tire sizes go, you cant fit larger than a 285 tire on a gto with a larger wheel anyways, so why not just get a larger wheel. I just run 265 R compound tires, and its perfectly fine.

Most of the people that tell you "them tars wont hook up, they are too small" buy shit like kelly chargers and sears tires and dont have any idea what they are talking about. Ive had all kinds of heat cycled race tires on here and, this car hooks even in rain when it had 459ft lbs. Just gotta make sure the tire is warm enough, or the street is hot. The answer to traction problems is not always mini tubbing it out and putting tractor suspension on it. This car will still shred turns HARD the way it is. Im willing to sacrifice some straight line performance from a dig, to ultimately have something that corners and drives better at high speeds.

As far as the power, that article makes it confusing.

The car made 473/459 at the tire on the motor on a stock ls2 longblock. The heads have been worked over a bit, and more bolt ons are on the car putting it right on the 500 mark now. As far as the nitrous, i still have not even driven the car on spray. I would imagine, if the rod bolts dont snap, it will be pretty fast for what it is on juice. If it blows up, ill put a forged 408 in it with a pt88 billet :jerkit:. haha

i dont mean to be combative. At the end of the day, it really wouldnt matter what someone else suggested, i am bound in my own ways on how i want the car to look. But at the same time, just because the tires are stretched very minimal, and the offset is 10mm outside of the norm does not mean the car does not handle well or the car geometry is terrible. It def didnt work with the 275 tires i used to have on there from the stance nation feature, but now with a 265 tire, its perfectly finehttp://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u326/CryptKeeper138/r888.jpg. Fenders will all be skimmed over and finished. The ripples are just a casualty of war when you pull the fenders as much as i did to fit what i wanted on the car. I planned on repainting the entire car from the start anyways, so they are wrinkled at the moment, haha..

Once again, im not here to argue, just jawing about how i see it. I built the car to drive and have fun with. Its primary purpose is not drag racing. but.... in the WORST CASE situation, a wheel can be changed by removing 5 lug nuts. ;)

Fair enough. I believe you as far as traction goes, but from a looks standpoint, the back wheels just don't look right. Well in this pic anyway...

Maybe its just the HDR or something, because it doesn't look nearly as bad in the other pics. I like your wheels and the car looks good, I just despise the stretched tire, negative camber look that all the VW fanboys have a hard on for.

Ben, the pic you posted is of Loren's car. He works up in Worthington, lives out in Gahanna, and he tracks the shit out of that car. Dude has his speed alarm set for 135 just because it lets him know when to let up heading into the kink at Nelson Ledges.

thats with a 275 40 18 run flat goodyear eagle f1. GARBAGE tires. I got them for free just so i could drive to take those pictures.

That tire is about 1 inch taller than i want on the car. As a result i had to joe dirt the rear end of the car and it looks all jacked up in the rear with those tires. Now with a 265 35 18 it sits even, the tires tuck into the wheel wells, and when i fry the tires off, i am not frying goodyear writing off the sidewall past 80 haha..

As far as the camber, its a gto. Regardless, you cant get outside of -1.25 degrees even if its sitting on the ground. The rear lower trailing arms just arent engineered to rotate that much to get that much camber. Not to mention id blow the half shafts out of it with some dumbass angle on them if it had a bunch of camber somehow.

I cant stand any fad really, so i feel you on the vw twinks. It just sucks sometimes the shit i end up doing, RBs bite and do TJ Maxx versions of. haha.. Its fun to go to those kind of "stance" events though, so i have gained the attention to get the features i guess.. In the end, whatever, maybe some rich kid will eventually buy it off me so i can riceboy out a c6 z06 next, haha.

rofl at all the critique in this thread. personally, i like the car. just a bit too low, but other than that, i wouldn't change a thing. i ran 275 nittos on my GTO for 10k miles and they barely fit---you just can't fit wider tires on these cars. a standard 275 tire won't fit.

no need to defend your car, or change anything based on what anyone else says.
