Dr. Pomade
I would have ranked Notre Dame at 4 and Kansas State at 5. And, of course, LSU leapfrogs Ohio State. That is one-part Ohio State allowing Indiana to come back and one-part SEC SEC SEC.

DaddyBuiltRacing
7 SEC teams in Top 25 - holy fuck. Well of course man, SEC is god like! I was watching ESPN yesterday and they said outside of OSU no big 10 team really deserves to be in the top 25 and that at seasons end there might only be OSU in the top 25. The big10 is bad this year as a whole honestly. I think the Pac12 is a little under rated and the Big12 is over rated. I think whats helping OSU right now is the fact that ESPN and most media outlets like Urban Meyer. If Tress or Fickell were coaching this current team, no way in hell is OSU in the top 10. Hell after last nights game they would've dropped several spots.

OSU at 6-0 being ranked 8th in the country was already the lowest OSU has ever been ranked as a 6-0 team. I'm sure at 7-0, 7th is the lowest OSU has ever been ranked as well. This is probably the shittiest 7th ranked, 7-0 team osu has ever compiled. Urban basically cobbled together this shitheap with broken pieces. bicranium
I don't disagree with that. Just saying it's not like Urban's Buckeyes are getting any sort of preferential treatment here. They're the lowest ranked 7-0 OSU team in the history of the program. And they've probably earned that...lol.

DaddyBuiltRacing
They are a 7-0 team who's marquee victory is over 4-2 Nebraska who in their own right haven't beat anybody. How we are ahead of Oregon St is beyond me, Oregon St has beaten, #13 Wisconsin and #19 UCLA while playing in arguably a tougher conference. I still stand behind my statement of OSU no longer being hated on because of Urban, you don't think that is true? I highly doubt OSU would've had a pre-season series on espn like they did this year if anyone not named Urban Meyer was the coach.
bicranium
Didn't say I thought OSU was being hated on. Just that they aren't getting some kind of preferential treatment in the rankings due to Urban being here.
DaddyBuiltRacing
I'm not saying they are being hated on, hell I think Urban being here has helped people forget about the last 2 years of OSU football. I think that if Fickell or someone else was coaching here right now we'd still be hearing about it, I also don't think that this 7-0 team would be in the top 10. Hell I thought for sure OSU was going to drop a few spots after Saturday nights performance in Bloomington.
Dr. Pomade
Had the score held at 52-35 or whatever it was before the defense packed it in and imploded then we would be at #6 - LSU wouldn't have leap-frogged us, IMHO. Had we beat Indiana 17-14 - same margin of victory, but lower score - I bet we would have dropped in the polls. Pollsters love high scores. It's what makes them fall in love with Oregon every year. OSU has played won 2 more game and since I think overall played a tougher schedule so far. You make the arguement that tOSU beat Nebraska, who hasn't beat anybody eventhough they beat Wisconsin. Then you make an arguement for Oregon State that they played a tougher schedule because they beat Wisconsin. Yes, Oregon State is in a tougher conference. But they haven't faced any one of the tougher teams like Stanford, USC, or Oregon so that arguement is moot. tOSU beat MSU, Nebraska and Cal(who destroyed UCLA) and played 2 more games. This I agree with 100%. The media loves high scoring games and high powered offenses. It is the reason why the big12 teams are always overrated. Dr. Pomade
Florida and Alabama will play each other if they remain undefeated. How far does either of those teams drop in the polls with a defeat in SEC CG? I wouldn't think all that far, really. Maybe not even far enough to move the loser below #2 in BCS. Are we on course for another all-SEC NCG? Fucking hand me the Clorox...
