Yes, they make some good rifles. Start a new thread if you are looking at getting a bolt gun there are more knowledgable people that me on here when it comes to shooting distance that can help you out.

yeap, just because you buy a 2k gun, doesn't make you a good shooter. Start smaller.. like a good starting point is a Remy700 in 308 and learn from there. 300WinMag and 338Lapua are expensive to shoot and learn on. :)

Windham SRC

.... in stock at cabelas as we speak..... Reg price

just ordered a quad rail.

What is a good scope for it? budget is 150 or less.

Congrats on your purchase. The optic question is kind of a loaded one though, especially at such a low budget. I'd say spend the 150 on flip/back up irons, get good with them, and save for a better optic, that also fits your needs. For what it's worth my first AR came with a Bushnell TRS-25, which for a budget red-dot, is very decent, and holds it's zero. I think those tend to be around 90 bucks. If you want magnification, a bit more cash will get you a decent Nikon, or Vortex.

Just my opinion.

+1 on Iron's

Vortex Strike fire for $150, Bushnell TRS-25 if you need to go cheaper but nothing else below that I would bother with. If you use the Vortex and you want magnification you can get a flip to the side magnifier. I have a 3x Sightmark that I use with my Eotech and its nice to get a bit more magnification for longer shots or smaller targets. Then you can simply swing it out of the way if you want the regular optic.

I got my Aimpoint Micro T1 in with 2 moa dot. Waiting on the LaRue mount to show up, which will be absolute co-witness. I still need to get some irons on this.
