mrs.cos
eworks because of the dry grass and the fear of fires However.. I was able to be a bit preemptive on some popup storms tonight and get some of this.. I waited for at least an hour on top a highway overpass taking 1-30second shots hoping to get some lightening. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8150/7505596568_34bac1833a_c.jpg Independence Day Storms by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7266/7505596050_1e7d23c667_c.jpg Independence Day Storms by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr In Cloud Lightening http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7131/7505595368_ccb06a41df_c.jpg Independence Day Storms by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr
Rocky31186
Nice, I was trying to get lightning from my back deck. But the lightning wasnt coming through the clouds, and I was getting rained on. So I said screw it. I really wanted to try firework shots, but we didnt end up going to see them this year.
Murse
tripod?!? Still look cool tho!! I didn't have mine with me or else I was gonna try. I wish there was an app where you could manually set the shutter, ISO, and f stop on my iPhone!
mrs.cos
I was using a tripod- not a great one- but I was on an overpass
Berto
Looks like you got a bit of shake in there. Is that from the shutter or a truck driving on the bridge? Cool shots, I want to get to some lightning shots sometime.
mrs.cos
I dont think it was the overpass.. i was standing before the road switches to bridge. I found out that my remote release for my D90 doesnt work with my D700, so i have to get anohter one. I was on bulb mode and using only finger on the trigger. the shake is probably more my fault than the road.
