It probably wouldn't hurt it overall... they'd probably drag it out then set it on those wheel dolly things I assume. A friend of mine used to do repo's and one time he told me story about a job that someone set the brake. When he hooked it the dude ran out of his house swinging a gun so he drove it in dragging what was left of his rear wheels. If they want your car they will absolutly get it. AFAIK towing companies cannot touch a car that is in a closed garage or gated in a driveway. If the gate/garage door is open however, that is a different story.
