Savage Edge/Axis 30-06 choose your options

Up for sale is a Savage Edge/Axis in 30-06( http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Savage-Axis-Centerfire-Rifle&i=GM443653&r=view&from=grid ) I bought it new from Vances last year and it surprised me how good of a shooter it was.

 

With some 155gr Sierra Match King hand loads I picked up at a gun show I was able to shoot these two 3 shot groups at 100yds with the barska 3-9 that it came with.

The rifle will come with 56 rounds of Federal 150gr soft points which in a 8 shot group did this at 100. (bottom left one I pulled)

The options here are what scope you want to come with it and whether or not you want a bipod.

 

 

For $320 it will come with the Barska 3-9 and the ammo

 

For $375 it will come with a Bushnell Sportsman 4-12x40 and the ammo

For $475 it will come with a Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 mildot reticle

If someone would buy my glock I'd probably pick this up. I've been wanting a .308 but with the way ammo is I think the .30-06 would be a better option. Nice rifle.

I have the same exact rifle and I love it. It just became my designated deer gun until next fall. I have already taken one and plan on many more. I'm jealous of some of the glass offered to go with this. Anyone looking for a powerful gun that will really get out there should look at this!
