Draco-REX
I like the BMW 2002 idea..... But.. What about a LS swapped 8 series? Some fender flares, big wheels and tires, better stance, some aero, and you've got a newer M1 Pro-Car. Man... now that I have that idea in my head, I want to build it. 99StockGT
Wow this post has been busy while I was WORKING! So yes LS is probably a must, though an old carb'd 350 does hold a certain appeal. As some of you have mentioned, the incredible access to parts does make this an appealing idea however I think some of these are a bit off the wall and may be missing a little of the idea. Room is important, so as fun as an RX LS sounds...not a lot of transport room even with those "doors". Those of you going with the BMW again we are looking for something with some decen aftermarket support. BMWs are a nightmare to find parts for in the first place, let alone when you start sticking Chevy parts in them. Unless we ripped the body off and dropped it on a G8 I can only shudder at the complications. A Wagon IS interesting, as is I hate to admit the El Camino as it can actually have some utility. However, I don't remember the last person who stopped by and say.."Damn that's a nice El Camino.." well....ever.

The reason things are unique is because no one's done it yet, and that's usually because it's not easy. That said, what about an old-ass truck? My 59 Apache was cool looking as fuck, had a 327 in it but would've definitely benefitted from a 454 or something. And the aftermarket support for it is almost infinite. Oh and a gigantic bed. Farkas
I don't think there would be plenty room under the hood like he mentioned he wanted Engine bay can swallow a huge 2J swap no problem, as well as the Tundra 4.7 V8. LSX should be no problem at all. http://www.pgrramblers.org/corolla/images/1uz-fe.jpg
Browning
I don't think I'd call that plenty of room to work on once all accessories, fan, etc are in there. Maybe that's just me though?

Well, if that isn't enough room for a capable shop, then I'd say they're in over their heads lol. http://image.superstreetonline.com/f/35003385+w750+st0/sstp_1012_11_o+1986_toyota_corolla_coupe+engine.jpg http://image.superstreetonline.com/f/29416136+w750+st0/sstp_1012_16_o+1985_toyota_corolla_hatchback+engine.jpg
Browning
Well obviously it can still be worked on I just took it they want plenty of extra room, which that does not have. Guess we'll have to wait and see what OP says.
Richard Cranium
My vote goes for a Cadillac hearse. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1996-CADILLAC-HEARSE-/271253315066?forcev4exp=true Big and roomy, comfy ride. Plenty of space to haul things. Stands out in a crowd. Huge vertical surface for advertising. Most are very gently used. Maybe even work a slogan around it, "We can revive the dead". EGOKILLER
I say a delorean, then once you get it to 88mph you can go into the future to see if it helped or hurt your shop. Then if it hurt your shop you can go back in time kick yourself in the ass for building and pick a different platform like it never happened. I know, I know your welcome I'm an idea man it's what I do!

That's actually a pretty attractive idea, had never even thought about it. Hmmmmm.... Syclone isn't going anywhere near hauling more than a few fat guys and some gas, ain't gonna happen. As for the mutually exclusive, by unique I mean the body. I would like that PARTS to be something we can easily get ahold of IE Chevy 350 / LSwhatever. I have had more than my share of hunting down parts that are across the country or across an ocean, not looking forward to that with a shop car. The old school pickup truck is the most logical choice just commonly done these days.
