Mattsv8
Im thinking it may be time to say good bye to the s10. how would you go about selling it, would u sell complete as a 9.000 150 mph turn key drag truck. or part it out. where would you list it to bring a real offer. its my first truck got it at 15yrs old. so its been with me a long damn time. Geeesammy
You'll never get what its worth as a whole. That's a specialty market withing a specialty market in it's own sense. If it was mine I'd sell the engine, trans, etc. separately. It's a lot of work but it'll be the biggest return IMO. I know if I ever want to sell my car I'll have to part it to get this most out of it. Hell, I'd sell the entire drivetrain for what I could sell the car for. PRD2BDF
You're going to regret it. It's your first truck. Change it to something else like a cruiser you can drive daily.
STEVE-O
Pull drivetrain for new chassis and make it a slower bracket truck.
kirks5oh
Take the drivetrain out, and swap in a low-buck 5.3 truck motor with bolt-ons, make it a cruiser as stated. You'll regret selling the chassis if you do. Then either use the current drivetrain in your new project, or sell it to help fund the new project. Cordell
Don't sell the truck!! If you want to sell some of the drivetrain thats one thing, but you'll regret selling the chassis. If you put it on the backburner for a while so you can play with something else you'll be happy in a few years when its still there.
Mattsv8
Yea being its my first vehicle is most of the reason ive hung onto it this long. Its just not a good fit for my big ass anymore. I have the 89 blazer and its so much more comfy inside. So is the camaro. Wonder what I could get just the motor. And just the turbo system. ShoMeSomeFun
Id keep it. Like you, Ive had my truck since I was 15 as well and couldn't part with it now. My father an I have been tweaking and working on it for a decade always changing things and going in different directions with it.
wagner
1. Pull the motor and turbo system. 2. Install a 6.0 or 5.3 LSX set up. 3. Build new turbo system around truck manifolds 4. Be Ricky Bobby and go fast. That truck with a LSX turbo set up would be a monster.

I think he wants to make his DRAG project on a different platform not that he is tired of his old sbc setup. and his truck is already nasty. now a turbo 5.3 street truckl that would be a different animal
LS_Sonoma
pull the drivetrain or de-tame and turn it into a pro-touring daily driver.
vonrottes
I vote keep it and turn it into a LSx powered cruiser! still have plenty of power for the street, look bad ass AND get 20mpg city!
Mattsv8
I mostly wana ditch it because its like a big power go cart inside. I want to build something comfortable to stay in. Also evan more streetable.
