wagner
So I'm kicking around getting pit bike or gas scooter to get around the pits. maybe something like this http://www.goped.com/Products/sport/default.asp Or http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/bajareg%3B-motorsports-mini-bike-196cc I'm trying not to spend crazy big money, but i do want something that will not be a total POS. If you've got something to sell or know of one locally i'm all ears

zeitgeist57
Wags, after I redid my FiL's pit bike, I was informed by a buddy that Ollie's had refurbished Baja Dirt Bug bikes for $150. I didn't hear which locations but you might want to call around to see if there are any in stock.
TurboNova
be careful leaving something small unattended... there are tons of thieves as track. I know you know this already just re-enforcing it. I just sold my pitbike and got a golf cart today.

I'll even let you join my scooter gang I've been trolling for one but can't find one in the range I would want to spend.
Geeto67
get one of the chinese copies of the old honda CT70 trail "monkey bike". I believe it is called the Jincheng Panda Trail Rider. Or you can buy an original CT70, they aren't expensive esp if you find one with a lifan 125cc swap. Plus they are road legal so if you need to take the pit bike to the store for a sixer you can. Also it won't be worthless like that tractor supply minibike when you decide to sell it.
greg1647545532
My pit bike: http://steronz.com/random/integro.jpg I chopped down the handlebars and brake lever so it fits in my back seat better. Never breaks down and gets me around. I also just bought this minibike for my kids: http://www.sears.com/mini-bike/p-00601085000P I'd found it on sale and then got a coupon, came to $296 and some change after tax. It struggles up hills with an adult but it should be pretty good for getting around the pits, and it's reasonably well built for the price. You can drop the handlebars down and tie up the foot pegs and it won't take up much room.
wagner
I was actually thinking about getting an old BMX bike on the way to work today. Light, easy to transport, no fuel, and if it gets ganked I can always get another. Thant and if a peddle bike is good enough for Big Daddy Don Garlits it is sure as hell good enough for me :fuckyeah: My pit bike: http://steronz.com/random/integro.jpg I chopped down the handlebars and brake lever so it fits in my back seat better. SRTurbo04
Yes but you like cheeseburgers and beer , good luck riding that around at the track in the middle of summer with your gear. I put my suggestions on your Facebook I vote you just find a fat chick to give you piggy back rides at each track.

Well I've been watching what eat and am down 10 pounds, so the bike will help a bit more. I now have a light travel rollout I use when I have to run and gun, so gear won't be an issue. SHIEF
Picked one of these up lil while back. Goes 35+mph, will do a smokey burnout on the slick, and it sounds like a mini harley. This has a 212cc engine with minor bolt on's (yeah I typed that right). It needs a bigger slick and wheelie bars. As I've almost went down several times. But it's light enough I can pick it up and put it in a truck. Called a doodlebug or baja racer. You can get them with springed seat frames for a better ride. Sorry for big pic. http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a587/shief13/20140619_161425_zpsmjbjtglf.jpg

SHIEF
It's become a new hobby that I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought it. You can build the engines with internal/external upgrades etc. I got this one for $400, but the guy had over $800 in it lol. You can get that motor for I think $180 at harbor freight, and frames are cheap if no engine. It would still go probably 20-25mph no prob. zeitgeist57
You can get the 212cc Predator engines at HF for $119 on sale. Have one of those 20% or 25% off coupons? W. Broad Harbor Freight doesn't care about coupon restrictions and you can use them for the engines.:thumbup: I bought the 212cc at first, then realized the slip-clutch wouldnt fit without machining the bore. Got the 98cc/3HP engine and everything bolted onto the bike.
wagner
Well I just need a frame if I want to build one of these. This is getting out of control and going in places I did not want, but it could be fun.
