iwashmycar
Same here downtown. It is absolutely gorgeous, but I am waiting to lose power...I can already see a few downed branches just looking outside. And I was POSITIVE I had a snow shovel...nope

jeffro
Crazy how quick around 5am built up yeah if you watch the chairs we get over an inch in that 1 hour. Next time, im going to move the ruler over to the table. I think the overhang of the house interfered.

Thanks, guys....we are pretty happy with it. Since you guys seem to like it, here's a couple more shots of the front and back. Just had our fence put in a couple of weeks ago, so I've got some shots of the back too. 4 car garage with a lift hopefully going in sometime in the future(the two windows to the left of the garage doors is also garage space). Mace1647545504
All I want to say about winter is if you are afraid to drive stay the F off the roads. Going to work this morning there was an ass in the fast lane going through the the construction area near 23 on 270 on the south side doing 10 maybe 12. How do I know this..when I was able to get around him I passed him at 15 mph WTF rant over mace
iwashmycar
That is downright dangerous. F it is cold out there. My furnace is running for ten minutes, and then off for maybe five...repeat. Should probably just put a coat on! Cant believe it will close in on sixty out on Sunday! ForeverMaker
Question -- do any of you remove the screens from your windows over winter? I know my parents did but wasn't sure if it really "saved" the screens to any extent.
PRD2BDF
We used to then it was too much damn work. Left them in last year. No I'll effects so far.
iwashmycar
It would only help in the general idea of sun damage I would imagine. My screens are now behind my storm windows, but I assume you are talking about new vinyl-type windows
bmwohio
Have always left ours on the windows. Just make sure you either bring in or disconnect your hose from your spigot so they water can drain from the spigot. If not, the spigot will crack. The long portion in this picture is designed this way so that the water can drain out and the actual valve is 6-8" into the house so it won't freeze, but if you leave your hose connected to the house it traps the water in that 6-8" part of the pipe and freezes very easily (had it happen to me last winter). http://www.metzlerhomebuilders.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/freeze-proof-faucet-assembly.jpg
