88lx5oh
suspension was completed today. Installed the IRS cradle Bushings, Diff Bushings, Transmission bushing, and put the Eibach Pro Kit springs in. Stance is much improved. I have a tad more NVH than stock from the bushings, but not terrible. Wheel hop is improved, but not gone, i was hoping for a 80% improvement, but think i only really got 50% improvement over stock. was it worth it??? i had about 11 hours in the car today. having to drop the IRS completely out of the car, as well as removing the diff, just to put bushings in was a PIA, especial when you have to pretty much cut the old bushing out. I'ts worth it for peace of mind, but wouldn't want to do it again lol. Ill be looking for other avenues to finish curing the wheel hop. Maybe viking double adjustable shocks and BMR LCA spherical bushings. the car does handle better now, and is more even through the corners than it was before. i still need to get an alignment though. IRS out http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g425/hobglide/B8F38003-3D1B-400B-AB84-8E6FA60AB76F_zps1yfkvuaz.jpg http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g425/hobglide/53BB4FCE-6442-47B1-AC4F-C0A8B4B16D04_zpsmgan7iwj.jpg new bushings in http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g425/hobglide/BF8FA5F2-8B71-47EA-9601-6488E56E2C3D_zpse52qiqj3.jpg http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g425/hobglide/A1BFF364-C421-43E5-898D-AEFE11BC879F_zps4xornidy.jpg

TTQ B4U
I hate when build threads have owners dragging their feet and taking forever to get shit done Looks great man! Far cry from the 2.0T. Way to jump right into the good stuff. Looking forward to seeing them numbers and perhaps the car over some coffee. Aaron
I'll be doing a factory fill replacement on the trans and rear diff at 5k miles. Even just changing fluids (not upgrading) is supposed to help the trans shifting out. Why didn't you try the steeda rear subframe brace or the comparable BMR? Also, any plans to do a shifter, or bracket that moves it to the trans instead of the body?
DKilbourne
No, it will be tuned on 93 Plans for running e-85 at all, or just 93? Car looks great. Looking forward to seeing what it does.
Fiji ST
The Eibachs look really good on the Mustangs. A customer of mine had us put a set on his black Performance Pack about a month ago and it looks badass.

Also, any plans to do a shifter, or bracket that moves it to the trans instead of the body? The braces to me are bandaids to the real problem. The the stock bushings are really soft to deal with NVH. They have a lot of deflection I them. And if you could only see the size of the holes in the it's cradle bushing for the bolts. They are 3 times the diameter of the bolts. The BMR delrin bushings have a hole the exact dimension of the bolt. I ordered a high volume braided clutch line today, and planned to order a shifter bracket, but I think I'm gonna hold off on the bracket for now and buy an MGW shifter later. I've thrown a lot of money at the car I the last 3 weeks, and need to slow down a bit. The last things to order are t-bolt clamps and either a catch can or breathers, and then pay for my tune. I'm close to pulling the trigger on the Viking shocks though.. Trying to talk myself out of it and to just wait till spring.
Aaron
I'd wait until spring, and I'm sure you'll have Koni's out by then, and maybe a few others. I can't imagine they won't release them prior to autocross season next year. Truth be told, I haven't done a whole lot of comparative research on the different "fixes" to the wheel hop. I take it the items you did were to fix the source problem? I've seen the videos of the busings, and it's quite ridiculous.

I just talked to Kelly at BMR, i drove my car to work last night and notice a wiggle from the back end and some slight pulling. He informed me his car did the same thing till it was properly aligned. Apparently the toe, camber, and thrust angle goes all out of whack after removal of the IRS cradle, and especially when they are lowered. so when the car is all together after the tune, i need to take it somewhere to someone who's really knows what they are doing on alignment. and i have a spec sheet where the car needs to be on the adjustments. anyone have suggestions for a good alignment shop? IPS?
88lx5oh
Started on the headers today, me and a buddy only got to work about 3 hours on it, but we almost have the passenger side header removed lol. a lot of work ahead of us. http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g425/hobglide/41978BE6-E794-44FE-888E-81E30D693D14_zps1ihgsotx.jpg http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g425/hobglide/8E7A9A61-5ED5-44AD-AFEC-0AFE6755E76D_zpsrtogy6zi.jpg

Aaron
Just looked at the alignment specs. Seeing your mods, and use of the car, I say they are good. As Kelly stated, that alignment he suggested is absolutely NOT what you want for a car focused on turning.
88lx5oh
I told him it's just a fun street car, so not focused on one particular aspect.
