So some great guy decided that he would come along and steal the tire caps off my gt. So when I saw that first I thought, wow really? But then I had two genuine concerns.

 

 

 

First, is the tpms in the screw on cap or in the tire itself?

 

 

 

Secondly, why isn't it leaking air? I haven't had them on for days and I've driven it but no air comes out? Is it some magical thing?

 

 

 

Actually a third question, wtf steals oem caps and that's it?

the sad thing is I had a version of this conversation with a buddy of mine this fall. He knows less than jack shit about cars. He had a flat and we changed it. Before he left he rolls his window down and says "the truck is saying the spare tire has 7 pounds in it". I told him it was still reading the flat tire in the back of the truck and he says "how's that possible? It's not hooked to the truck anymore". I told him he should get out and check the wire going to the spare tire to make sure it was connected.
