Awesome work! Car looks beautiful.

You are giving me just the motivation I need to put mine into "service mode" and spend a few weeks detailing it.

What do you use to get the rubber smears off the paint? Any tips for post hpde care would be great.

In this case the paint really needed lots of love being single stage, oxidized and covered in track slag. I went pretty much straight to a rotary with a short fiber purple wool pad and meguiars M100.

Orbital would have eventually don't the same job but the oxidation was quickly clogging pads and making a mess to clean up so rotary was more effective here.

For generally track slag cleaning you can use Mothers R3 or a simple citrus based all purpose cleaner and it will generally take the black rubber marks off. However, if you examine closely under proper lighting you'll see that the paint actually needs to be polished in those spots to really be as perfect as possible. I'd recommend polishing twice a year to get rid of the track garbage and really get everything pristine.

Awesome cleanup job. Being single stage I'm sure helps as its often easier to correct than Hard clears. Now that it's clean it will be easier to maintain too.

Love the entire package. Bonus points for the car being used for its intended design too.

Yup, Once you get the oxidation out of the way the rest is a breeze and the DA made quick work of it.

I used to have decent success getting off the rubber marks with clay bar in between events but with the single stage they seem to be harder to remove. I'm hoping keeping up with wax/sealant going into next year will help. I ended up having to hand polish off the rubber in-between events this year when I had time.

Thanks, I'll add that to my order. 2 polishes a year is probably what my norm will be on this car, especially with tracking it more going forward.

The spoiler is from Shine as Norm linked. Be prepared for a long wait after ordering. Took me like 8 weeks to get mine. I think that Evo R sells a version now too.

I was able to do the photo shoot today with the car and found some cool locations so I, interested to see how they turn out. I'll post up when I get some of the pics.

Haven't been working on the car. Winter laziness combined with that it looks so nice out there have kept me from messing with it up to this point. I have been ordering parts for it. I have both sets of new track wheels on order and got some junk slicks I'll use to mock up and set ride height.

I finally got the helmet I ordered last August! One of the big draws to this helmet is the integrated headset since I use one instructing so much. I'm still working out which communicator I'm going to use with it as my old one isn't compatable.

I took the car out to cars and coffee last weekend and was able to get about 75 miles on it over Presidents' Day weekend which was certainly nice for Feb.

I've started getting some of the photos from the photo shoot my friend did. He used a mix of actual film over a few cameras and some digital. Here are the ones I like so far. Last one is my favorite.
