Dave
Toyota bought back my 96 Tacoma for the frame rust recall/buyback at 1.5x KBB RETAIL in excellent condition. the truck was a total POS. I made out like a bandit.
f4isvt
mines not a 95 or newer but I just got done fixing way worse on my 88. Pretty much reboxed the entire frame from the cab back as well as remacking the shackle hangers. If I failed at that which I dont think I did its getting a full out tube from and transforming to a baja truck
ReconRat
The enginerd in me says even rusty steel shouldn't just fall apart so quickly. This is substandard steel. It's the wrong alloy. Basically crap in the first place.

RVTPilot
You leased a pre '03? No, bro. Leased an '08 last year. Nothing too fancy, it does the trick. Wish I had gone with the crew cab rather than the ext., though. The kids would have a bit more room. But I was trying to be frugal.
