Sheltering your kid from bad language is stupid. They hear worse on the bus. I dont sweat when my kid hears cuss words because I want her to see that just because someone lets a 4 letter word fly, it doesnt mean they are bad people. I drive a car, however my kids know they have to be of age and get licensed to do so. I can drink a beer, however they know that they need to be 21 years of age to do so. The same goes for some behaviors, too. You know better, you're trying to teach them better. Once they're old enough (out of the house) to fend for themselves, they can do as they please, just hope that you've taught them well by that point.
