ohdaho
Keep in mind i was born and raised in Texas and previously stationed in SoCal.I wake up and see its clear and sunny and think its nice ride weather despite it being a bit nippy. My commute to class is only 1.5 miles up the road so fuck it. Take the bike out. As Im pulling out of the neighborhood, theres what appears to be a little water on the road from the sprinklers and I think nothing of it. Didnt look like oil so I was fine. Apparently it was ice. I feel my backend slide as I make the turn and try to stand up the bike instead of leaning it in the turn. Luckily I save it and I dont lowside.Fuck Ohio....then again Texas has snowstorms right now. Harb67
Glad to hear you saved it...There are times I wish I hadn't garaged my bike already (did it 4 weeks ago due to various circumstances), but hearing stuff like this and then seeing that Columbus has already started spraying that saltwater or whatever it is on the roads reminds me that I made the right choice. I hate winter
Likwid
Glad you saved it! I was outside for 2 hours today... was numb... It was sunny though, I thought about a quick ride around the block
jporter12
Winter sux....I've always had a distaste for winter, and cold weather, but now that I have a bike, it's even worse...
longbrake_00
I was over at my buddies today and jumped on his buell and I broke the rear end loose good just the cool tires, and everything on the road. I bike is up on stand for the time being.
RSVDon
Lol, you'll learn yet. Dayton is a bitch like that. Just wait, it'll be 60 degrees and sunny through January, then by February we'll get 20 inches of snow in one night. (sometimes March instead of February)
