Okay, I've always thought this was the dumbest idea I've ever heard of. Most of you have heard me ranting about this before. Well, today I saw a picture that might be changing my mind.

That was the ONE incident where the airbag worked though... all the other pictures and videos show the airbag basically throwing the rider off the bike ... still might be an ok consequence...

I've never seen anything throwing the rider off the bike. The airbag shoots straight up out of the front fairing. If you're leaning over looking at your headlight, maybe you'd get thrown off.

Worked for many too. It's a gamble. There is no safe way to play the car vs bike game. If you find yourself in the game you have to think fast and hope for the best. Some make it and some don't.

I'd be all over this airbag jacket. I need a dual sport one. I hear they are big in Europe. The jackets retail for $450.00 US.

i think they make airbag vests too. not sure who makes them, but if you already have jackets/suits you can buy the vest and wear that on top of the other stuff. i think they're a bit cheaper... but i don't know by how much.

in that video you can see that with out the airbag the rider clearly broke his neck. I dont see how an airbag could be a bad thing.

I know they have been available on the Gold Wings , Luckely I don't know anyone who have tried them out yet .

I don't know what all bikes offer them other than the Wings ?
