owndjoo
I have never had but the 100, 200, 300. That i have seen. I have never seen 400. But I could run WOT to the 5. then situp and brake.normally it goes 5-4-3-2-1, but for the pro weekend it was 500-400-300-200-100 i think, or it's switched around, can't remember. actually i think it is switched from that. turn one has 300-200-100 i believe, used to go to 300, then i realized about the rear brake and try to push it to the 200 mark now
Chrisoh
Yeah the back straight for trackdays only had the 100s. the first time 5,4,3,2,1 was the AMA shared practice.Yeah I was pushing to just past the 300 on the front last time, but I was so screwed up on my line in 1 it wasn't funny. I could have pushed farther and waited to turn in a little longer.

redkow97
does anyone know what a day at Grattan cost through STT last year?they don't have pricing up until the 1st of the year, but I know grattan was super cheap through NESBA last season. And currently, NESBA has NO grattan dates posted for 2008! all that fresh asphalt going to waste!
Chrisoh
I know last year the LEDs at grattan day of were $
redkow97
LEDs are just a dream for me right now. Novice group. What's a reasonable time-frame to expect to move into Intermediate? I know some people probably do it in 2 weekends, but is 4 weekends a realistic goal?$170 bought a whole weekend at Grattan last year
Chrisoh
Some can do it after lunch of first weekend, some takes months. It is not set time it depends on your ability. If you are running consistent lines and not slow enough to be a danger in the Int then you just need to ask to move up.I have only ever done LED/Friday WERA practice at Grattan. Moto-Brian
LEDs are just a dream for me right now. Novice group. What's a reasonable time-frame to expect to move into Intermediate? I know some people probably do it in 2 weekends, but is 4 weekends a realistic goal?$170 bought a whole weekend at Grattan last year I try and tell new riders to do a two day back to back. That way, things are fresh and you can easily apply what you were taught the next day. The first day ever is always a nail biter and you aren't as focused. But, as Chris stated - some do it the same day and others are lucky to do it within 4 weekends...Get to an instructor, have them watch you and they will let you know... Chrisoh
If you can physically and mentally do 2 days... How many days you done so far?
NinjaNick
The 1st trackday I did in '06 and I was so freaking sore the next day. No way I could've done 2 in a row.
Chrisoh
I find most first timers it is not necessarily their phyisical stamina but the mental stamina that gets them during the day...Then Physical afterwards.
NinjaNick
The last time out on the track, I bailed after a few laps because I was so physically exhausted I felt I was losing control of my bike. It was over 100 degrees at that ROK (Kawasaki only) event. It was brutal.
