John
this could be you.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-Kawasaki-Ninja-500r-Low-Miles-/280601978142?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item41552e651e2009 ninja 500. MSRP 4999I bought this a year ago and have barely been able to ride it. It only has 150 miles! I bought it brand new from ASK Powersports for over $8,000. It has lo-jack and a five year extended warranty. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just don't have the time for it and I live in Ohio where I can't ride it year round. I can take credit cards but will charge 3% to cover the fees.pwned? Edited December 14, 2010 by John
LINK
That sucks...Been there done that, my 1125R was purchased only a few months before the "fire-sale" prices when HD shut down Buell.
Disclaimer
That's just poor timing, not necessarily ignorance. Now if you would've bought it at MSRP after the Buell/HD announcement, then you got pwned. In the case of the OP, I dunno if the got taken, or maybe they're trying to take someone else? Maybe that $8k includes accessories, finance charges, etc? Who knows, either way, it's not a seller I'd want to deal with.
redkow97
No way someone that stupid has good enough credit to own a bike that was purchased 2 years ago.I'm betting the bank owns that ride. I value it at $2900 max.
John
probably got one of those $99/month deals, and didnt read the fine print to find out that his monthly payment doesnt even cover the interest accrued, let alone any capital.
