I think Aliens. If it was Zombies, they would still be around looking for brains and picking up body parts that have fallen off. Aliens just take people and probe them. They may be back some day, but some never come back from the probe.

A couple of them are confirmed alive and well, they just had a run in with the drama llama and it seems that they've decided they're better off without the drama. I'm going to guess that some may be back when the weather breaks for the purpose of finding group rides, etc...
