jonni black
Lets set a meeting point to meet up with dayton and or cincy guys. and we up here around columbus will decide what time we need to meet to get there.the cincy people normally meet at the shell station off of 275 the wilders/AA highway exit. the first right when turning right out of the shell is 915. Mykill
Jonni's route looks good too with 1504 in it. Maybe not slab back and hit a more good looking roads before heading back up to Columbus. Ill meet wherever in Columbus. Dayton people can pick a convenient spot for the meet up.

modular
Another fella and myself rode 10 Sunday. It proved to be quite technical with the blind crests and corners right after them. Factor in the wind and it was an exciting ride, fo sho.

modular
Your kidding, right? You all would be passing me left and right. I don't ride all that fast. I'd end up with a bunch of pissed off riders behind me that traveled quite a ways to have fun and wouldn't be.
nsaP
I found this forum doing some google searches for lanesplitting in Ohio, it's nice to see other people appreciate KY roads as well.I live in NKY and so it's basically my backyard. I could offer some suggestions, but route 10 and around it are some of the better roads here. Pretty much every road has good turns, but some are better paved and roads like 10 have fantastic visibility thru the turns at parts where it runs along the top of a hill.Starting at 915 is good, I used to do that a lot but the past few years it's a much better road for cars than bikes. While it has some fantastic turns, including a tight decreasing radius that then goes uphill on the exit (http://goo.gl/maps/SDlm), the pavement has been utter shit and didn't give me any confidence at all.Any roads back there will offer decent riding, but my favorites tend to be the roads that run along the tops of hills. They're usually more sweeping turns, but there are some tight ones too and you have the benefit of visibility. The roads that run in the valleys have some great tight turns, but for many of them you can hardly see around them, leaving a lot of potential hazards. I've come across cars that were liberal in their lane usage, turns tightening up(one required a change of pants), and the worst is gravel. It's something many wouldn't think about, but everyone who lives on those roads has a gravel drive, and in the low areas they all live higher up on the hills( sometimes for flooding reasons, see pic here that I took yesterday http://i.imgur.com/rlQMl.jpg ). This leads to gravel constantly gathering at the foot of driveways, and worse so if it's rained recently from the water flow I guess. Because of stuff like this, I tend to take it fairly easy on those kind of roads out to 10, where you can open up and take some more risks.I haven't ridden 22, I'll have to check it out sometime but it's a bit out of the way as I start up north. I usually take a different loop. The biggest flaw I see with your plan is getting on the highway , find some nice roads back too. That said, I don't have to ride here or back so I can imagine it's pretty tiring.Edit: Tho I see one has you going back up 25, that's decent but you could loop back to 177 too Edited April 22, 2011 by nsaP

modular
There is a ride being set for this Saturday (4/30) to cover a lot of the NKY roads that are being discussed here. Right now it looks like a 1100 meeting time with a roll out time of 1130 from the Shell station on Hwy 9/AA if anyone is interested.

modular
I am in Loveland near Kings Island so if folks from the north go we can pick place to meet and then head on down, maybe like the Kings Island passenger drop-off parking lot. nsaP
Places are flooding something awful down here right now but if you stick to 915/10 etc. that shouldn't be a problem. I might come down and join you, not sure what my Saturday is looking like yet, that and I tend to head out for rides a bit later (depending on the previous night eh?).
