max power
CL operates under the "sucka born every minute" rule. Just dont be that sucka and all is well.I have bought and sold tons of stuff on there without being ripped off or ripping off anyone. buildit
I must be a sucka, I've bought two bikes and several items at good prices andin good shape. But you gotta spend the time to watch for the deals worth responding to.
Simplysix
Never bought a bike from CL, but I have met some really nice massage therapists

dorifto240
It's the summer, so the prices are ridiculous right now. Wait until the first snowfall and see how many bikes are tossed on craigslist dirt cheap. If you are going to sell a bike, wait until the first or second good weekend in the spring. then list it for a thousand more than it's worth and see what happens. Odds are some idiot with a tax return and no brains will give you that amount because he "gots to get me a bike."Also, put a few "H-D"s somewhere on the bike or say it's a "cafe racer", that puts the price into ludicrous range for some reason! mgbgt89
Ugh, the "cafe racers" are the worst. Some flat black rattle can, low bars and a hack job seat adds about 1000 bucks to the price of an old honda. My favorite is the "runs good but needs the carbs cleaned" line. Bad324
its craigslist, I almost always over price bikes I've sold by $500-$750 so when a potential buyer talks you down that amount they feel good about it and like they are getting a deal and I still get what I want out of it
