Sorry I didn't introduce myself' date=' Troy. I was planning on shaking hands with everyone in McConnelsville. I wanted to paw over your bike while you weren't looking, too. Nice ride. Maybe next time?[/quote']

Thank you, If the bad weather holds off and allows another ride this year, we will have to see...I ride when it is cold, but not on rides like today.

I am such a loser! I blew a turn and the bike was unrideable. So much thanks to Isaac's Papa for the trailer home, and Mike53ali for hanging out with me while we waited for a ride. Sorry for blowing the day for you guys.

I was leading at the time, so I couldn't see what happened. We went back and took a look at that turn. I was a left hand decreasing radius curve and the road a little off-cambered. Kind of tricky to read.

Sucks, but the bike didn't look too bad, and you weren't hurt. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse.

Just my pride was hurt, lol. I choked, plain and simple. I don't know why, but I got nervy, glanced off the road for a second, and there I went. Can't really explain it. Hasn't happened before like that. I low-sided once on ice, and once on gravel, but never just choked like that. I think maybe I should have backed it down and stayed toward the rear of the pack until I was more comfortable. There are a million excuses I would like to make, but I just screwed up.

I don't think the bike will be hard to fix, but the clutch has me puzzled. There is no good reason I can see why it shouldn't engage.

Thanks to everybody. When I get back on the horse, I'd like to give it another shot with you guys, if you don't mind (and I'd understand if you did, lol).

You think the cable might have gotten damaged/snapped during the fall somewhere it wasn't visible/obvious?

One thing I noticed when I was replacing my clutch side cover after my low-side is that the pin that the cable actuates was a little tricky to get engaged. Depending on how hard you hit the ground, it might have shifted around :dunno: I'm basically just making stuff up now.

Don't worry about 'another shot' - it happens to us all. Just learn from it and come back a better rider.

Everyone in that group, at one time or another, wasn't 'feeling it' and decided to go hang in the back for awhile. For me...confidence and smoothness dictate pace. Some days that puts me toward the front, other days toward the back.

Pauly posted something a while ago, along lines of...don't try to be fast, try to be smooth and fast will come. It's true. Don't beat your self up too much. Mistake are useless unless you learn from them.

Thanks... I appreciate that. I really wasn't feeling it yesterday, to be honest. I should have taken the hint and backed it down. I'm usually a lot smoother.

I'd like to ride with you guys again. I think I could learn a lot from you, and I do like a fast-paced ride. I know what I did and why, so at least I can learn from it.

Great route Tony, I can't believe I haven't been on some of those roads before especially since I have been all around them. I should explore more when I get out on my own.

It took me 4-1/2 hours to get home from the first stop I made at the intersection of 70 & 77. I just couldn't bring myself to get back on the bike after I made a stop. If my girlfriend could hook up the trailer and find all of my trailer restraints I would have had her come get me. A Percocet last night & some Aleve this morning are helping me to cope with the discomfort.

I was pulling up to the intersection of 83 & 93 to take another break on the ride home and Jinx was there with another guy out going for an afternoon ride. They hung out with me for a while and decided to escort me home after seeing how much distress I was in.

I know what’s going on, it's just that I have two conflicting issues battling each other and have been trying to regulate them without my doctor’s help. Time for that to stop, it sucks getting old.

Get to the doctor Tod. Get healthy again your not old at all you just need to take care of a few things, I was glad to see you out you always are willing to help someone, by the end of the day I was getting off the bike more and found my grove it had been a while since I have been out. Taking what I learned from the track days and doing those things on my bike took a while. With a few pointers from you I really felt comfortable and got my body position right getting my elbow into the apex and getting off the bike thanks hope to see you out more..

I was expecting to get some good advice from Uncle Punk, you followed me for a bit, I was all ears.

I was going to ask, but never really had the chance to,

when you were talking to Mike, I was eavesdropping as best I could.

Get things taken care of, get well, it was great meeting you!
