Ron505
I saw this and could not believe that the child could even have access to a loaded firearm. Lock yo shit up! Parents should probably be charged.
swingset
This is precisely the reason I refuse to keep them in my house.Do you keep a lighter, electricity, a stove or water in your home? All of those kill more young children in accidents every year than guns. You know they make safes, right?Good lord.

C-bus
Teach? Yes. Test? Often. Trust a 3 year-old? Never. Lock em up with little ones around.
BadTrainDriver
I still don't believe anyone can "teach" a 3yr old to not touch a gun.You might be able to tell them not to touch one, but they don't understand why...and that's the difference. Understanding the consequences.
crb
I still don't believe anyone can "teach" a 3yr old to not touch a gun.You might be able to tell them not to touch one, but they don't understand why...and that's the difference. Understanding the consequences.I wouldn't say that. My nephew asked "that can hurt me?" I said yes. He said "it can kill me?" I said yes. He has seen a firearm on my side as long as he has known me. He has had an interest in them since he has been around me because I am the only positive adult male influence in his life. At 2.5 or so he knew where the gun shop I frequent was, and what street it was on. He would ask anyone that drove him past the road or that area if he could go to the gun shop. I didn't teach him where it was, but he knew. Teach? Yes. Test? Often. Trust a 3 year-old? Never. Lock em up with little ones around.EXACTLY!!!
