The problem I see most often is signs alone aren't effective. I commute to/from work on the turnpike and the 18-whoolers don't give a flying fuck about speed limits signs or construction zones. No cop? No enforcement. Money spent without results is likely.

Funny story.. Amanda got knicked for speeding in a 25mph zone. If she had been using a handheld device, she could have taken a safety course that lowered the points to zero. Since she wasn't on her phone, no distracted-driver discount applies. Full points. Full fine. Why create laws that won't be enforced? If this ARDOT system actually works, I will be surprised. Are there similar programs in effect that yield satisfactory results, or just more government pandering without the side effects of actually working?
