Granda080 and I arrived thursday afternoon, about 1 pm. We set camp up, and unloaded the bikes, and decided it was time to go ride! We took off down 28, and headed toward the dragon. I wanted to get our dragon passes out of the way, so we weren't trying to ride it on the weekend. here was our view from camp We headed up the dragon, and got stuck behind a van. We stopped to check out the view fellow ohio riders members granda080 taking it all in. My fz1, granda's fz6, and fellow O.R members bikes after we hit the dragon, we headed over to the foothills parkway- what a blast! after our dragon passes we stopped back up at the lodge, and I snapped this picture of the mountain range. We called it a night, and had a few beers, and a fire and relaxed. I also met a few other members(packer82, and a few members of the fz1 forum). The next day we headed out to the Cherohola Skyway. What a beautiful ride! after we rode Cherohola, I had gotten word from a few folks that there was an awesome bbq place in Tellico. I have to agree, this is the best bbq I have ever had. After we ate I was pretty well exhausted from not sleeping real well the night before. We hopped on the cherry cola skyway, and headed back. When we arrived back we decided to grab a shot of the camp ground from the top of the dam We went back to our camp site, and headed up to the general store, and bashed on some ice cream, and met up with likwid, issacspapa,bad324,and chatted for awhile. On Saturday, we decided we were going to Hit up Georgia, and South Carolina. So we decided to ride 28. I was initially bummed it was just one road, but good god. Beautifully amazing around every corner. This road had it all. Tight and technical, sweepers, scenery. Break time1 point

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've now got a week, and 1600 miles in with my Vstrom.... I bought it a week ago Saturday, and ride it last weekend to break it in, then changed the oil, and filter. Headed down thru West Virginia on 2 lanes and stopped at Fancy Gap, Va. for the night, then down the BRP to the end, and to Robbinsville...Then back home here in Ohio. I bought the bike for a sport touring use, I had a FJR, and never really "connected" with it..I didn't like the ergo's, it was top heavy...just never liked it, most/lots of people love them though. I have no intentions doing any "off roading/gravel etc. with the Vee. I lowered it with adjustable links, and that all I've done to it. My wife actually steered me to it, because she said the passenger seat looked comfortable, and she says it is. We have 2 Kawasaki Versys also, though she is done riding on her own. The Versys is a tie with Gen1 Yamaha FZ1's as my favorite motorcycle in 40+ years of riding...but the Vstrom is right there also. The only "issue" I have is that in dirty air behind a semi, the wind buffets the bike side to side some..I have the windshield in the highest setting, maybe that's it.... After 1600+ miles I love the Vstrom. I like the engine, the ergo's, the storage, and the handling...so far so good1 point

God damn it, it won't let me rep you any more I wouldn't mind working at tilted kilt but I don't have the body for that shit and I can't fake being nice for that long. Plus I would just end up eating garlic fries my entire shift. I wonder if Columbus has one of those dicks resuraunts, I would most likely excell there.1 point

I worked in a green house in high school. Not a bad job, small family run place. I am NOT fucking working at Applebee's. I remember your horror stories from there. I worked at a Japanese steak house and sushi place in high school as a busser/server assistant/ hostess. I wasn't old enough to serve at the time.1 point

Can you elaborate on the details of how/why the car was being worked on AT IPS, but not BY IPS, and is no longer affiliated in any way WITH IPS anymore? If it was not IPS working on the car at IPS, who was working on it? Does IPS sublease builds out to other rinkydink "performance" shops in Columbus?1 point

If you want nights/weekends in Columbus with little responsibility, check out Iron Pony. You most certainly won't get rich there; my 5 years as a part-timer is testament to that, but there are some pretty cool people working there and they've let me do two nights and one weekend day for a long time. I couldn't have survived these years without them, they have my loyalty!1 point

We had a couple harleys pass us on the way out. Figured they were stoked to be passing 4 sport bikes all at once in the rain.1 point

  I was half asleep still but vaguely remember him going "whoops" a couple times. He did pretty damn well for never driving a truck n trailer that big before. So damn well I let him drive all the way to Cbus so I could attempt to recover1 point
