Ok, guys can do some dumb stuff...I don't get it either, but women are just as bad at times. The whole child support/visitation/custody situation in general is skewed very favorably toward the mother from my personal experiences. I have been going through a tough situation with my ex so I can kinda relate. In my case, my ex is a bit off her rocker and shares a mutual hatred with my wife which makes home life "interesting" to say the least. Honestly, I can't stand my ex at all for many reasons including constantly taking me to court at every whim she gets (to the point where my lawyer said if she keeps it up she was going to go after her for reimbursement for MY court costs), calling child protective services on me for false accusations of abuse (again proven unsubstantiated in court), calling around to my work to find out if I had had to work on the days I had my daughter (and threatening to call the police if I leave her at home with her step mother), sending the police to my house on various occasions where she thought I was not home with my daughter stating that she feared for her safety, going after me for additional support once she found out that I was adopting my step daughter (her bio father bailed on her when she was 6 months old with no support paid or visitation in over 6 years) so that I couldn't claim her as an additional dependent for three years until the next "adjustment", and just generally being as ass telling me how much of a P.O.S. I am and that her "new" boyfriend is a better Dad than I will ever be...in front of the child no less. She has been involved with many heated arguments with my wife...she knows just what buttons to push to provoke her. All of this has led to a mountain of resentment on all parties involved. It's to the point where my wife pretty much wants nothing to do with my daughter and I no longer look forward to the visitations like I used to due to all of the headaches and legal battles. I can just hope that when she gets older she will see what her mother is like and understands why things are the way they are now. I still love her to death, but her mother has sucked all of the joy out of spending time with her. Sorry for the long rant...2 points

You have to be patched in. about once a year we vote on new members, voting is based on how good your old lady looks, how much your bike is worth (title will need signed over to Casper) and how many beers you can drink and still be able to remember to put feet down at stop lights.2 points

Too tired post much right now, but here is the beginning I'll post more later EDIT: Ok, so yesterday was the first day of our build. Brandon's gonna put on a few things on his bike that I won't, and I have to put on a few parts that my bike didn't have, but for the most part, we're doing a lot of the same things. Part one is going to be taking off all the EPA crap that comes on these bikes. When I say "we" I mean, "Brandon is going to tell me exactly what screws to take off and how to take parts off and then I'll start breaking shit and Brandon will sigh and shove me out of the way and just fucking do it himself". Anyway, we got a few things off, and a few more to go. I have race plastics (Optimal), an OEM front brake MC (from Rider's Discounts take off parts bin), levers, windshield and some other stuff on order. I still need to get a shift linkage rod since some ass took the quickshifter off my bike before it hit the auction yard, so I'm just going to run it manual mode. Brandon has a lot of stuff I'm going to buy and/or steal from him. I'll let Brandon spill the beans on his build if he wants to. I've never done one of these "build thread" things, so there you have it. I'll post updates as we make progress. Once this is done, and I'm reasonably certain the 675R is ready to go, I'm putting the 2008 ZX6R up for sale. I DID change the oil filters, jerks. I like everything about the bike except that god awful oil filter location. I hate it so much, I want to sell it into child slavery. But otherwise, everything about the bike is great, and I'm a bit faster on the kawi than I was on the Honda (that's not saying much, but still lol). I don't quite know how I'll do on the triumph, but the quick ride I took on Brandon's 07 675 was interesting and I want to give it a shot.1 point

Slickdeals.net has these http://slickdeals.net/f/5915906-E-Z-Up-Sierra-II-Canopy-10-ft-x-10-ft-for-54-99-AC-w-Free-store-pickup 8x8 canopy fits 2 bikes easily, the base is 10x10. Before we start a huge thread discussing quality, blah blah, these are fine. I've used a cheap brand from Kroger for 3 years and the one before that I used at different events for 5 years. Cheap and easy to replace if something does happen. No need to drop massive coin for something that gets used 1-2 weekends a month 3-4 months of the year.1 point

Came across this just now... I had this idea that I could rope a deer, put it in a stall, feed it up on corn for a couple of weeks, then kill it and eat it. The first step in this adventure was getting a deer. I figured that, since they congregate at my cattle feeder and do not seem to have much fear of me when we are there (a bold one will sometimes come right up and sniff at the bags of feed while I am in the back of the truck not 4 feet away), it should not be difficult to rope one, get up to it and toss a bag over its head (to calm it down) then hog tie it and transport it home. I filled the cattle feeder then hid down at the end with my rope. The cattle, having seen the roping thing before, stayed well back. They were not having any of it. After about 20 minutes, my deer showed up-- 3 of them. I picked out a likely looking one, stepped out from the end of the feeder, and threw my rope. The deer just stood there and stared at me. I wrapped the rope around my waist and twisted the end so I would have a good hold. The deer still just stood and stared at me, but you could tell it was mildly concerned about the whole rope situation. I took a step towards it, it took a step away. I put a little tension on the rope, and then received an education. The first thing that I learned is that, while a deer may just stand there looking at you funny while you rope it, they are spurred to action when you start pulling on that rope. That deer EXPLODED. The second thing I learned is that pound for pound, a deer is a LOT stronger than a cow or a colt. A cow or a colt in that weight range I could fight down with a rope and with some dignity. A deer-- no Chance. That thing ran and bucked and twisted and pulled. There was no controlling it and certainly no getting close to it. As it jerked me off my feet and started dragging me across the ground, it occurred to me that having a deer on a rope was not nearly as good an idea as I had originally imagined. The only upside is that they do not have as much stamina as many other animals. A brief 10 minutes later, it was tired and not nearly as quick to jerk me off my feet and drag me when I managed to get up. It took me a few minutes to realize this, since I was mostly blinded by the blood flowing out of the big gash in my head. At that point, I had lost my taste for corn-fed venison. I just wanted to get that devil creature off the end of that rope. I figured if I just let it go with the rope hanging around its neck, it would likely die slow and painfully somewhere. At the time, there was no love at all between me and that deer. At that moment, I hated the thing, and I would venture a guess that the feeling was mutual. Despite the gash in my head and the several large knots where I had cleverly arrested the deer's momentum by bracing my head against various large rocks as it dragged me across the ground, I could still think clearly enough to recognize that there was a small chance that I shared some tiny amount of responsibility for the situation we were in. I didn't want the deer to have to suffer a slow death, so I managed to get it lined back up in between my truck and the feeder - a little trap I had set before hand...kind of like a squeeze chute. I got it to back in there and I started moving up so I could get my rope back. Did you know that deer bite? They do! I never in a million years would have thought that a deer would bite somebody, so I was very surprised when ..... I reached up there to grab that rope and the deer grabbed hold of my wrist. Now, when a deer bites you, it is not like being bit by a horse where they just bite you and slide off to then let go. A deer bites you and shakes its head--almost like a pit bull. They bite HARD and it hurts. The proper thing to do when a deer bites you is probably to freeze and draw back slowly. I tried screaming and shaking instead. My method was ineffective. It seems like the deer was biting and shaking for several minutes, but it was likely only several seconds. I, being smarter than a deer (though you may be questioning that claim by now), tricked it. While I kept it busy tearing the tendons out of my right arm, I reached up with my left hand and pulled that rope loose. That was when I got my final lesson in deer behavior for the day. Deer will strike at you with their front feet. They rear right up on their back feet and strike right about head and shoulder level, and their hooves are surprisingly sharp... I learned a long time ago that, when an animal -like a horse --strikes at you with their hooves and you can't get away easily, the best thing to do is try to make a loud noise and make an aggressive move towards the animal. This will usually cause them to back down a bit so you can escape. This was not a horse. This was a deer, so obviously, such trickery would not work. In the course of a millisecond, I devised a different strategy. I screamed like a woman and tried to turn and run. The reason I had always been told NOT to try to turn and run from a horse that paws at you is that there is a good chance that it will hit you in the back of the head. Deer may not be so different from horses after all, besides being twice as strong and 3 times as evil, because the second I turned to run, it hit me right in the back of the head and knocked me down. Now, when a deer paws at you and knocks you down, it does not immediately leave. I suspect it does not recognize that the danger has passed. What they do instead is paw your back and jump up and down on you while you are laying there crying like a little girl and covering your head. I finally managed to crawl under the truck and the deer went away. So now I know why when people go deer hunting they bring a rifle with a scope......to sort of even the odds!! All these events are true so help me God...An Educated Farmer1 point

Rock House and Bear Wallow are the two best. If you stay in Mann instead of Gilbert you can ride to both trail heads. Mann is cheaper too, I always stay at the Lodge beside the 7-11. It's close to the local bars and they are fun. No real good night time entertainment in Gilbert. One night you need to drive to Logan, 15 mins from Mann and go to Top Hat. If you can dance you will have to fight the hillbilly girls off of you and most at Top Hat are hot and they like the out of town crowd.1 point

Just know most court order restrictions ARE in the interest of the child. So you must assume the restrictions are needed. To fight those restrictions and not show just proves why they are there to begin with. Birth control? This is an ex she speaks of so apparently as a couple planned or not it was a choice. We all have an ex we feel was a mistake or was crazy once we got to know them. Besides all children should be viewed as a blessing not an accident. This guy if an idiot he is missing the best years of there lives and its a choice.1 point

I ride the so called outlaw trails all the time. There free and no hour restrictions, or any other type of rules. About 30 miles north of Buffalo Mountain. I have never been on the $50 trails, but here they are nice, and you cant get lost. Everything is well marked, and they give you a trail map. Some rider's I know are going there 4/11 to 4/15. If they ride Buffalo Mountain area on sat or sun I may join them.1 point

I'm not. I give it at least 6 months before there's any sign of letting up. Define irony: Liberal Dems want sweeping gun legislation; can't get it. As a result of pushing for it, they've managed to pump thousands of new [assault :dumb:] weapons, thousands of "high capacity clips", and millions of rounds of ammunition into the public's hands. F'n hilarious. :dumb::dumb::dumb:1 point

I doubt it's part of a Master Plan. They may have flawed gun policies based on philosophical differences and ignorance, but they probably are buying up surplus for the same reasons we do - anticipation of future short supplies. Unfortunately everyone's hoarding is creating the very supply shortage feared.1 point
