If you think the mods should step up, maybe you should step up and report posts you think violate the rules. It's quite hard to know when someone is offended if they don't let us know.

Hey everyone. My name is Veronica, and this is my first season of riding. I got my bike license last november 2012, and I started riding about 2 months ago. But now that its nicer I would love to ride with people, and my friends don't ride. I am 23 years old, live in North East Ohio, the Cleveland Area. I drive a Suzuki Bandit 600 and I love it. My dream bike is a Suzuki Gsxr though. Umm..I don't really know what else to say. Well, I like to play video games, ice skate, drink, watch movies, and of course ride.

Would you like to see MidgetTodd banned for a day? He's annoyed the crap out of me today by bumping up all these old intro threads. So, I'm putting it to vote. You all get to decide. Should we ban MidgetTodd for a day?

As much as it pains me to do this I am not able to care for my dog the way I had intended when I first got her. I am far to busy now with multiple jobs and being in an apartment she doesn't get out as much as I wanted her to. When I first got her I was in a house with a yard where she could run around, things went south with the ex and had to get an apartment. Now on to her. Her name is Mary and is 3 years old (about) She is up-to-date on all her shots She is spayed She is a very friendly dog and is not aggressive She is great with kids and is also very quiet She is house trained She knows Sit and Stay and that's about it though she is very smart She is a Rott Collie mix (Best I can tell) She is a very loving dog She is great about keeping herself busy as in playing with her toys by herself and even throwing them to you sometimes I am not asking any money or anything for I just want her to have the home she deserves since I am not able to provide that for her. Her harness, leash and toys all come with her.

I agree with Jester. Here's mine loaded down for a trip my buddy and I did out to the Black Hills.

The whole obedience by dominance totally works when that's the issue. I've seen both disobedience due to fear and due to aggressive protection of an owner corrected by putting a dog on its side and just keeping them there until they calm down and realize they have to listen because you're alpha.

I love my VFR, the only problem I have had was the front cam chain tensioner went bad. Other than that just normal maintenance. Its a bike that does everything well, but maybe not the best. Its comfortable, but not as comfy as a tourer. It is quick, but not as quick as a 600cc sportbike. I actually think it handles great. IMO its the best compromise you can get for comfort and fun. FWIW I bought mine used but it had a custom seat on it, let me see if I can find a good picture. Its like sitting on a couch. These are from right when I brought it home a few years ago. If you are worried about Ergos here is a site you can use to compare the two bikes. Judging by the site the VFR would be slightly more comfortable. http://cycle-ergo.com/

This is the second time I've seen something like this, where a person steps in as a new member seeking friends and riding buddies, only to be harassed right from the start, before they've even had a chance to get off of the doormat. One left stomping and snorting, and the other, the poor thing, left with a whimper. And for this, we should be proud? I think not. Unless the Mods step up and say enough, the reputation of the OhioRiders forum can only suffer. .

We men do not have the sensitivities of women. How we perceive comments and talk from other men is not how it is perceived by women, especially younger ones and ones that have just stepped in through the OhioRiders' door for their very first time. I wouldn't mind having more ladies on the forum. We only get one chance to make a first impression. Let's make a good one. Making them feel truly welcome is the key to having them spread the word among their female friends that OhioRiders is a good place to spend some time. Just as easily, they can say this is a good forum to stay away from. I prefer they come back and bring friends. These women are mothers, sisters, grandmothers, girlfriends, and wives. If we want them to come back, it would not be a bad idea to give the impression that we possess qualities somewhat reflective of gentlemen. .

Then go to Cabelas and wait through the crowd and pay sales tax etc and buy them. Please don't shit in my thread. Thanks.
