That's fair. But if the situation was reversed the guy in the car that pulls out and kills a motorcycle cop is going away forever.3 points

Vote for who? Name me one candidate that is going do anything constructive.3 points

You could host the ride if you want to change things too. Since I don't have to put on a lot of effort in, I will not complain about the ride. Only suggestion I have is do it again next year :). I enjoy the ride and seeing peeps.3 points

I heard the sportsters down in GA are real fast. I'll jump on the "I rode a Road King and it was bad" bandwagon too. I felt like I was piloting the hindenburg and had my life flash before my eyes when I hit the brakes and not much of anything happened.2 points

flush the coolant. IT's good for your bike, and water wetter cleans up easier. Required or not, you'll feel like a dick if you piss antifreeze all over the track and it ruins everyone else's day. Distilled water is so cheap... Adding water wetter increases cooling ability and lubricates your water pump. ...or find an air-cooled bike.2 points

Yea,"new to me " might have been more accurate, but its good to hear someone's excitement at discovering these roads,it reminds me of when I first rode them.Keep digging...there's a lot more hidden gems in SEO,and a lot more smiles when you find them.2 points

Yes. And tone down the 24/7 media coverage. That just help feed the fear the terrorist type attacks try to generate.2 points

If any of you are on the way I'll swing by and we can load up everything in my trailer and I'll town you for free if it's your first track experience.2 points

Just found out I'm going to have another week of vacation to use. Would like to plan another trip on two wheels. Who's going, when are we going and where are we going?1 point

I wonder how our great president will handle the BLM now that they have become a terrorist organization. How will he find a way to keep praising them for the great work that they do.1 point

Picked up the new ride this afternoon. So far I really like it. I can't wait to get some break in miles on it so that I can give it hell. Felt good on the ride home. When I got home my wife took one look at it and said "How old are we?" LOL. She didn't complain when I took her for a spin around the hood though.1 point

I rode a HD soft tail springer for about 15 miles on one of the nicer parts of WV 16. There was "nothing wrong" with the brakes except I couldn't squeeze the lever hard enough to make the bike slow down for the corners. These were corners that brakes would not be required on most bikes but due to this bikes tendency to grind down the floorboards when you tip them in 25 or 30 degrees I ended up cutting the test ride short & reclaiming my proper bike.1 point

My buddy has a 1200 something. He wanted to roll race in 1st gear. I gave him the hit, waited 2 more seconds and then reeled him in like I was Usain Bolt and he was Steven Hawking, without his wheelchair.1 point

I don't believe old fluid will cause complete brake failure. Brakes will definitely be shitty as far as stopping on a dime goes, but not a complete loss of brakes unless there is some other factor involved.1 point

You're ignoring some information, and we don't have other pieces of information that are necessary to make a determination of who was (more) at fault. 1) the motorcycle cop wouldn't be riding without a license, or under suspension. 2) we don't know the rider's speed, or at what distance he was following. I'm not here to bash the dead. It sucks that the guy died (even if he was at fault), and maybe he was obeying the law to-the-letter, but I question how "experienced" this rider was. All I've seen is a bunch of pics of him with "N" stickers on his S1000R. His skill level is irrelevant if he really had no part in causing or contributing to the collision, but we don't know if that's the case. It also wouldn't be the firs time a track rider thought his new skills (real or imaginary) made him hot-shit on the streets, and gave him a false sense of security riding in an unsafe manner. I nearly killed myself on a fucking EX500 after a few track days... Leaned way over on an entrance ramp, drifted wide, and got into the gravelly shit between the ramp and the highway. I never left the pavement, but the rear stepped out on me. It was pure luck that I didn't crash at 75+ with 65mph traffic approaching behind me. There are two sides to every story, and the truth usually lies somewhere between them.1 point

+1 on this. Can't wait to get out on the bike and find a place with no phone/internet service and twisty roads.1 point

Is this another false flag to support a gun grab? The elections are fixed. The courts are corrupt. The government has long ago declared war on the constitution, bill of rights, and the American people. The media is controlled. Not enough of the right people are carrying guns. Blacks are sick of heavy handed police action. Whites are fed up with the redistribution of wealth through the literal giving away of our hard earned tax dollars. Muslims want sharia law for all of us. And Mexicans want to make the US a suburb of Mexico City. What's next? House to house searches by foreign speaking UN troops on our own soil while our kids are dying over in BFE to protect oil interests and to groom an area to become a large center of commerce like what was intended with Baghdad? No wonder folks want to move to the sticks and raise their own food, produce their own electricity, and get off the grid. The American dream has been killed off and the struggle just for survival is coming fast. Fuck all. Let's ride. .1 point

I bought the same bag for the trip to the Gap. It worked out even better than expected. I always held off on buying a tank bag because I was always concerned about how it would impact my movement. No issues at all with this bag and would recommend it for the ST crowd.1 point

I hate to see these things happen, but clearly we are not getting the whole story on either side. Too many factors that cannot/will not be answered. End of the day, a motorcyclist lost his life, which is sad.1 point

Shoot at cops and kill a bunch? Media complies with request to not name suspect(s). Shoot and kill a bunch of kids or whatever else? La de da let's all take a gander at THIS walking freakshow. It's a spectacle!1 point

If there is a group of 2 or 3 of you within an hour or so that want to go I would go out of the way to pick you up as well. I can fit 4 bikes in the trailer and have enough canopies for everyone who would be there.1 point

I feel we'd each have to pony up a lot of cash to do an OR only track day. I was more thinking of, lets all plan a date, and all go so 90% of the riders are OR guys and gals lol. I do need to do some track riding though.1 point

Looks like what ever I do will be the week of July 25th-31st. My wife is having a surgery the first week of Aug. and I was informed that if I requested any FMLA for that they would be taking it away from any vacation I have remaining. So I gave them a big FU and requested the rest of my vacation at the end of July.1 point

Still haven't decided on anything yet. Only thing on the table is a UP, Canada, Vermont trip with Mike but there is a big "IF" involved in that plan. I'm seriously considering a trip to Mt. Washington and on to Quoddy Head lighthouse and maybe dip into Nova Scotia for a bit the last week on July. I would really want somone to go with me for a trip like that. Need to figure somthing out before all the good weeks of vacation are taken.1 point
