Late notice, but will be heading to Hampton Hills tonight if any can make it out. Will be there by 5.

I got there late. Missed the race start and wasn't on the trail until 1:30. Rode like my hair was on fire for the first 10 miles, then realized (was told) there was a huge climb after the covered bridge at the 12 mike mark. The climb was steep, but not the day-ender it was described as. I rode that, did the descent to the mile 14 water station, and then decided, "I'm getting tired enough that this will stop being fun and start being hazardous soon..." I knew where I was (there's a road and a parking lot at the water stop) and I knew my car was 3 paved miles away, mostly down hill. I checked the time, and cutting the ride short was the smart move for my dinner plans, given my late start. i did stop twice on my ride to chat with some spokejunkies people at the gnome tree, and I spent 10 mins helping a couple repair the woman's broken chain. I needed the rest more than they needed the help. my ride is on strava, if anyone cares to see it. "Some Mohican" 18.x miles total, 14 of that is singletrack. With better pacing, I feel like the full loop would have been very attainable, but I get bored riding slowly...

It's the fisheye lens. I've actually considered buying a new lens for the gopro that doesn't have the fisheye and seeing how that looks. Something like this https://www.4klens.co/products/5-2mm-lens

That's where I'm going around with my LS build. 5.3 LM7, Custom ported and decked heads, PAC .660 Double Springs w/ titanium hardware, TSP 228R Cam (Sounds Awesome), ARP studs everywhere, all King Ceramic bearings, LS2 Timing Chain, Circle D 3200 stall converter, built 4L60E, and custom exhaust with Sanderson Headers. All this in a little S10 should be fun.

As I have stated before I will be bringing my Travel Trailer. In a desperate spot I could put a single bike in the trailer as long as it was not massive. I will also have room for at least 2 other people if anyone wants to ride in the cab of my pickup.

Well I'm in the car and on the way home. No surgery at this time, need to see the Doc in 4 weeks to see how things are healing. Lots of pain this morning because I refuse to over do the narcotics. Be nice to get in my own bed.

Andy's street tripple tried to do butt stuff with my daytona on the way back last year. Be forewarned.

Thanks for the offer man. I may head down a day or 2 early if I can swing it so I'll probably drive myself. Currently I do have a spot for a smaller bike on my trailer, nothing larger than a Daytona though, probably.

I will be riding with a group of Big Adventure Bike's doing the 3 day Smokey Mountain 500 on June 8th. Leaving out of Stecoah, NC. (Iron Horse) coming your way on 28 but turning off early 2511 Fontana Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771 on the Upper Tuskeegee Road heading to Tellico Plains area the first night. This will be a mix of dirty roads with some curvy asphalt connectors. We will be on 50/50 Mitas E-07's tires. You can drop out at many locations and head back to Fontana or ride on with us. Looks like the only ones trailering are me and What. Joel and I were planning to trailer down together and will have four bikes between us. Might be able to fit you on my trailer. Tim, you are welcome to ride with us. what, I know we have talked about trailering together. Wasn't sure that I was going until recently and I still haven't got my vacation approved. Get with me and we'll see what we can make happen. Depending on Joel getting the twin star ready I may not take my Enduro. If that's the case, we would have four bikes on my trailer (me, Joel, rawlins, what) which would fit no problem. 5 gets pretty tight, but has been done.

Well due to my lung issue and pain is not under control yet they are keeping me another night. Wife just left for home and the old man is going to pick me up tomorrow if I get released before she is off work.

2 weeks till season opener! I plan on being there Monday (weather dependent).

Long way out but if i cant get back on the bike by then I might need a ride. Because I'm still going. Haven't missed one yet and I'm not about to start.
