What a great day today! Weather was perfect; sorry guys that went yesterday. I give the new pave a 8/10. For a fresh repave, there are a lot of places where it seems they already patched. Almost seems like every corner. Not sure if maybe they used better asphalt in the corners for better wear. But if i hit the seam of the patch, i would get loose. The bump in the kink is still there as well as the bump under the bridge. If you take the kink about mid-track, it's not bad at all. But there were no potholes and the rest of the track was smooth. I was running in the upper teens by the end of the day if i got clear laps but there was a bunch of traffic today. You really notice the 1/2 mile missing from Mid-O. Big shout out to Sam and the new owners for getting this going again. I will be going back.

I'm back. Screw you sissies and the rain. Yea, we got soaked between New Concord and Caldwell. Then it dried out, as did we and it was epic. Yes I passed Derek on the inside before we got to New Concord. Then I totally dusted him in 536. I led, he couldn't keep up. Had to wait for his sorry ass at the stop sign at the end. There is a new sheriff in town. Almost took a turkey to the head. It was head high about 4 inches to the right. Hopefully @NinjaDoc actually turned the gopro on for that. Hadf four deer cross in front of us 4 times. Derek killed 3 birds before he got to Wooster.

I was home later than expected but earlier than worse case scenario washed the bike just before dark, them nakeds are fun to work on but heck of pain in the exhaust to clean, esp on a day like this. Had a great ride, best part of the ride I already had by the time we got to new concord. No rain, dry roads and no traffic. Kind of purged the devil by then. But then ride started. thx tonic for the rain. . I mean, for the ride and good tow. The first rain drowned us all. Ride was getting really started from Caldwell. You were getting the hang of the bike by middle of the day, and I was really enjoying the pace and roads. I liked it so much I kept staying back another road and road before peeling off. At first I was having a hard time following coz u were struggling with rhythm. i almost bumped into you if I did not do the flick side ways hehe, but then you settled into the ride and it was smooth. It's gonna be fun riding with you in the coming months. From the sounds of it 536 is were we need to go, it's not at all a liter bike kind of ride unlike other Ohio roads where there is almost a 50/50 distribution of curves and corners. Where 1k is gonna be a hoot to blast off from corner to corner. 536 is a vstrom/ cb500x kinda road The only ride pic I took i was laughing my head head off thinking how the day was progressing. It was total chaos before we all sort of settled into it. Half the guys waiting in another gas station, half the people not knowing which part to join, road closed, Multiple deer sighting, vulture attack, people getting lost, all the rest running around looking for them, of course no signal. Mansoon, animals crossing, heavy heat and humidity, no connectivity, riding as if there is no law of the land, overall I relived my Indian memories cant imagine I didn't get picture of tonic and shoop, for sure next time. Tonik go pro was not running rain flooded and nearly killed it and I took it off for the rest of the ride, and hence enjoyed the ride with no distraction. Bike got a wash and quick spray wax job for now

$5.58 plus sales tax would be my savings. It's worth that to me to patronize a local brick & mortar store that also fills my needs for many other items. If nobody ever buys from a storefront, bike shops will go the way of camera stores.

Ride report:

Made it back. No incidents almost 2 incidents though first indicated 95mph by a state trooper sitting on a hill on 77. I was only going slightly faster than traffic. My speedo must be way off. 2nd incident was 5 min away from home sky's opened up I got stuck in middle lane of 77 and could get into any other lane. As soon as I applied the slightest throttle the bike became a wild bronco and I nearly went down.... twice. Pretty sure the ass hat that was tailgating me shit his pants and might have gotten rear ended because as soon as I looked back he was slamming on his brakes.

It's good to be able to test that shit out on rides like these. I didn't bring rain gear & got soaked, but by the time I got home only my Lee Parks gloves & where I sit were still wet. It was good to see you today Pauly.

Less than to choose between a 600 and a 1000 as a starter bike. Are my threads your earliest memory? I'm touched... ^_^

I'm out, going to go visit my friend in the hospital in the morning. Maybe ill squeeze in a afternoon ride.

Not sure if I'll make it tomorrow or not. My buddy that had a Stroke earlier in the week might be up for visitors tomorrow and I want to go visit. If he's not up for that yet I'll do the ride.

Just got off the phone with John. We talked for about 15 minutes. He talks fairly normally, you can tell he struggles a bit in remembering certain things. He is rehabbing and learning to walk again. He said yesterday he walked 2 times and was exhausted and that was the worst part. Definitely a miracle. So happy to hear his voice and talk. He doesn't remember anything from this entire ordeal which is probably for the best but he does remember before and after, so memory doesn't seem to affected all that much. He struggles very occasionally in his speech but I'm sure that will fade as time goes on. John, you truly are a fighter. We all knew you could do it. I also asked when he expected to be back on a motorcycle and he is shooting for a month hahahaha. Now that's a true biker for life.

More like three times. Once in Missouri once in Mississippi and once in Pennsylvania. Those three times probably netted less than 150 miles.

Yup but this mutt likes to stay dry. I don't mind getting caught in the rain I'm usually prepared for it but I'm not going to head directly into it. So I'll be a last minute decision in the morning.

11,000 miles in the books this year and maybe only 300 of that was in the rain. Maybe the dome belongs to me now.

Where to begin.... My bike... Wife's bike, kinda hidden.... The notorious Recon... Zero turn mower... My daily or known as (Da Hoe).... Wife would not permit me to put one directly on her new car so I had to get creative...one on the front too... One of many tool boxes and one on the garage fridge... And the air compressor... I think that's it other than my wife's work car but it's not home right now.

God damnit, gonna start nuking posts that talk about rain.
