  3. I'm the culprit. I was going to park over by your car on Easter to stay out of the way. I about got stuck and forgot to tell you. Regarding home defense, many experts will tell you a 20 gauge pump action shot loaded with 000 is the way to go. Lethal, good spread, easy to aim, less recoil than a 12 gauge so repeated shots are easier.

  6. All on line, except for a few exceptions. Like an accommodation for a special needs child, or a really poor district that has no computers. But those exceptions are rare. That refers to the state tests, there are a boatload of other mandatory tests. Reading tests for incoming kids for example. English second language students. The ACT's are now mandatory for all children. Except for the last month and a half of the school year there is mandatory testing going on every month somewhere in the district...often every day of the month. At the high school we have a week where only part of the kids come in each day....massive testing for them...then the next day another wave of kids come in. It's the only way we can get it done with minimal disruption. We have a whole department now that is just in charge of figuring it all out and making it happen. It's nuts. I/we get that we need to measure the kids, and measure our own performance, but at some point you need to actually teach the children too.

  7. Best first post ever? Thanks dad, glad it wasn't crackheads. Just you and mom... still getting a camera though. I'll be able to post your back yard mudding adventures for all to see next time!

  8. This was delivered yesterday. 2015 R1200RT. I’ve been looking for several months and found this beauty near Toledo. Took a road trip last Saturday and after several minutes of thought, I agreed to full price if he delivered and there you have it. The luggage box, navigation along with several more add on's made the decision easy.Today I’ll be cruising to Mathis BMW to discuss new tires then onto All Seasons in Wooster. Home by 1700.

  10. As far as security I have always went with Tim’s idea of out of site out of mind. Kind of obvious I have something around the house though with the motocross track in the field though, so my backup plan is to have theft coverage on everything. I do live in the sticks as well, but we have our fair share of meth addicts.

  14. All it takes is one or two of the local ghetto rats to know what he's got in there and it's all over but the Cryin. Lock your barn up like a fortress, cover the windows and if you do go with an alarm, make sure it has an extertal house speaker. They come in a stainless steel enclosure and are loud as hell. If someone trips your alarm you want to attract attention immediately.

  15. A few years back I would've told you not to waste your money but that stuff has come along way in recent years. A good security system isn't a terrible idea to cover your valuables when you're not around or with in cell phone range. The biggest argument for having a security system is that you can hook up your smoke alarms to it to call in a fire if you're not home. Be careful with the shotgun idea. Wouldn't want to fill your dad's ass full of buckshot!

  17. I would recommend motion activated lights and some cheap camera system. You can also get one of those driveway motion detectors that sets off a chime in the house when someone crosses a certain threshold.

  18. I’ll give ya my 2 cents on bar ends. I love em. If you get a good set that doesn’t have a lot of vibration they are great. You can see everything behind you at a quick glance. Some find it distracting taking your eyes from the road though. Mine came from a fella on the zrx forum that makes them. Bolt on in place of bar ends.

  19. I haven't worked out in almost a year, but by better controlling my diet, I've lost close to 60 lbs since last May. Plan to get back into the gym this week. I'm a little concerned because I've never been able to lose weight when working out. I become insatiably hungry after a workout and use my calorie burn as justification to eat more. We'll see how it goes.

  21. As a girl this sucks.... I have lost ZERO since thanksgiving. But, I am stronger, faster and a few inches have come off. My endurance has increased and I think that's what is holding me back. My muscles don't burn out fast, my lungs do....can't breath. Still working out and staying away from junk food.
