I found dealer support during my short Buell ownership was worse than if I had owned a MotoGuzzi in Antarctica.2 points

Had an opportunity to pick up a one owner, garage kept Buell Cyclone M2 with 18K miles. Guy worked as a HD mechanic and bought it new in New York. Added a bunch of factory options like the tach, Buell-branded soft luggage, flat-slide Mikuni. Wasn't really looking but it kind'a fell in my lap, so to speak. Color is "Molten Orange". Pretty much unmolested. 430# dry weight with 91 HP and 85 lbft of torque sounds like fun....1 point

I ran the posted route in this thread backwards today. Good times. I have never run 377 beyond 555. That road just keeps on giving. 550 was great right off 377. Fun times. I hope we can get a decent size group together to run it as a group ride. I did tack on some additional roads to the loop. I have a hard time not riding 800 north out of Fly.1 point

550 miles today. Pretty much awesome all the way around. Getting pretty confident in the Roadsmart 2s. Only had a couple wiggles. 1 for sure was water I didn’t spot until late and I believe the other one was gravel.1 point

It took me 10 days to get a tire from Revzilla. Carriers are getting their asses kicked by COVID right now.1 point

The belt drive on Buells (well at least on the XBs) was one of the best things about the bike. This will be the only option if the belts become unavailable.1 point

I doubt any Harley dealers are going to have useful information on the M2. Even when Buell was still active, support was awful at the Chrome Castles. This is your best/only source of info: https://badweatherbikers.com/1 point

The M2 was probably the best of the tube frame (pre-XB) Buells. I know for XBs the OEM drive belts are no longer available. There are belts that will "fit" but they are not spec-ed for Buells. Not sure about the tubers.1 point

Whoops, thought Tim was talking about John's bike. Didn't realize we went off topic to UPs bike. Since we went off topic John you want me to lock this? Your choice.1 point

Last year I went to India. There was a village close by which mainly depended on farming for livelihood. Unfortunately suffering from drought and no rain for few years. They were drifting into hardship and asking for help. I drove by found a suitable location, pretty good road loop nearby. Chose a good weekend date and posted an OR epic ride right there and then. Told the villagers to be ready for divine intervention. And exactly on the date of ride it started raining.crops sprout famine abolished kids playing harvest booming and Everyone lived happily ever after.1 point
